Fluffy:
"Religion" is a "big deal" to the majority of humanity!
Why would it "not be" here?
Qwark
I agree, but why do so many hubbers get annoyed with it in the forums.
Cause you are not too sure about religion yourself
This is a forum to discuss religion. Those that believe and can converse sensibly with each other. Those that have no belief should go to other topics that may interest them. You all apparently come to this forum to instigate and antagonise believers.
I am in awe of your continued insightful and intelligent responses, WoC.
I think you're very succinct WOC. I agree too.
Beelzedad, Thank you for the very kind compliment.
just_curious, Thank you for the nice compliment also.
I think maybe people talk about religion so much because it is so open to interpretation. It is interesting to hear other's thoughts. It sounds, from reading the posts here that a lot of people find it boring. That Edweirddo filter sounds useful, but I just don't click on a forum I have no interest in.
Please move this thread to rhe religious forum so it can be BLOCKED.
ACK! I'm on day 5 or so of being RELIGIOUS FORUM FREE thanks to Edweirdo's add-on that blocks them from showing up on my screen. When I saw "Religion" as the title of this thread, I thought they had invaded the rest of the forums too! Don't scare me like that!
Download the Edwierdo addon and let them all fester, I never noticed the religion subtopic in the hubbers hangout beofre though, could this please be removed so we can effectively use the forum filter?
Thisis:
But the subject gets more "play" in "hubbers hangout."
Isn't "hubbers hangout" supposed to be used to
"Go off-topic and discuss whatever you like?"
I'm quoting that direct from the "hubbers hangout" forum filter.
Qwark
All I'm saying is it gets on my nerves, and they seem to be so popular.
You, me, and several thousand other people.
I’ve installed Edweirdo’s forum filter:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Edweirdos-Forum … fox-Chrome
It is definitely the one thing that is negative about HupPages.
.
Edweirdo is a Living God!

And, yes, it is time. As 4 other posters have requested, I’ve flagged the OP as mis-categorized. We’ll see if it is moved…
There sure are some haters on here now. It was just a question.... not looking for a religious debate.
Looks like. That’s why it needs to be moved.
I think because religion is such a wide-ranging topic, and one which plays such a large part in many people's lives. The big questions of why we are here, is there a god, do we cease to exist at the point of death, are always going to be of interest to people. Personally, I find the religion and philosophy questions to be the most interesting, even though I have no religion of my own and consider myself to be an atheist.
Religion is as controversial as abortion. It will be big anywhere.
The internet is becoming more and more popular lately, with the way the economy is going. Churches especially are learning to use it to reach towards bigger crowds.

I have noticed that an increasing number of people seem to have joined this site merely to spam religion on the forum. This would be okay if it was not for the fact that this is a forum for writers, not theists.I am all for having a community forum, but I believe it should be a community forum for...

I MEANT RELIGIOUS FORUMS :My research has hard facts indicating these religious forums are getting out of hand and not used for conversation, as a forum should be, but rather to preach, draw attention, or provoke debate. Is there any way to find a happy medium? A forum today stated...

There are a lot of us who haven't been feeling safe on the forums. They've felt stalked, harassed and browbeaten.Sadly, some folks go with the letter of the law, but not the spirit of it in their posts. For an excellent post on why we need Forum Moderators, check out what Makingamark says here...

Okay this is great! I downloaded it this morning, and it's really working wonderfully. We all know Edweirdo, a very clever and useful hubber who created the HubDefender tool for us all which detects hub-theft and assists in dealing with it. Edweirdo has also written many helpful tutorial hubs on...
