   FYI:
   
   I thought maybe some of you might enjoy to learn that in Papua New Guinea.  A total of 50 spider species, two plants, three frogs and one gecko found on the expedition are believed to be new to science.

         I know.  The earth is a lot our own bodies.  It has a way of fixing itself.  You know, not only have they found new animal life, but plant life as well.  Maybe one of these new plants holds the cure for AIDS or Cancer.

            Oh yes! In the late 1950s-1960s, a newly discovered flower provided the cure for the leukemia that was suffered by Jungle Jack Hanna's youngest daughter.

            Plant species are already known that cure cancer and AIDS. The Essiac herbal formula with Sheep's Sorrel as the main ingredient and Slippery Elm, Turkey Rhubarb and Burdock is used against cancer. Sutherlandia frutescens treats AIDS. Search on Essiac and Sutherlandia and you will find plenty of info!
            
            I would therefore suggest that it is a myth that cures for these diseases need to be found with more research when they already exist!

               Hey.  Great lookin out.  Thanks for the info.  I was only aware that AIDS was still a death sentence eventually.  With this cure, I guess kids can stop worrying about dying from AIDS.
               
               Hey, look here teenagers- the worse thing you can get when you have unprotected sex is a STD or a BABY.
               
               The Sutherlandia plant TREATS AIDS?  Where's the cure you mentioned?

   I've been reading about 1000s of new species discovered in the last 6 months. Either we could not see them, or we have new ones because of climate change. Either is possible.

   They are still discovering new species on the small and highly populated island I live on - a grasshopper was discovered the other year and several plant species have been named as new.
   
   Whilst this is all well and good, the sad fact is that many more species are become extinct due to people and often I wonder if animals and plants being discovered is a good thing or a bad one? Often it turns out very badly for the animal or plant and it is easily observable that the places where animals and plants do best is where people don't go at all!
