FYI:
I thought maybe some of you might enjoy to learn that in Papua New Guinea. A total of 50 spider species, two plants, three frogs and one gecko found on the expedition are believed to be new to science.
Check out this site for more information and the complete story.

Very exciting times...
That is cool our earth never ever seems to stop amazing me..
I know. The earth is a lot our own bodies. It has a way of fixing itself. You know, not only have they found new animal life, but plant life as well. Maybe one of these new plants holds the cure for AIDS or Cancer.
Oh yes! In the late 1950s-1960s, a newly discovered flower provided the cure for the leukemia that was suffered by Jungle Jack Hanna's youngest daughter.
Plant species are already known that cure cancer and AIDS. The Essiac herbal formula with Sheep's Sorrel as the main ingredient and Slippery Elm, Turkey Rhubarb and Burdock is used against cancer. Sutherlandia frutescens treats AIDS. Search on Essiac and Sutherlandia and you will find plenty of info!
I would therefore suggest that it is a myth that cures for these diseases need to be found with more research when they already exist!
Hey. Great lookin out. Thanks for the info. I was only aware that AIDS was still a death sentence eventually. With this cure, I guess kids can stop worrying about dying from AIDS.
Hey, look here teenagers- the worse thing you can get when you have unprotected sex is a STD or a BABY.
The Sutherlandia plant TREATS AIDS? Where's the cure you mentioned?
Google the terms Essiac and Sutherlandia for more info?
I've been reading about 1000s of new species discovered in the last 6 months. Either we could not see them, or we have new ones because of climate change. Either is possible.
Small animal life, including insects, sea-going inverebrates, small amphibians.
Me, too. Here's a Google News link for some of them:

That algae that blooms with the neurotoxins now thats skeery
It's a timely reminder that life will go on and continue to evolve whether we're here to stir the pot or not. Fascintating stuff.
They are still discovering new species on the small and highly populated island I live on - a grasshopper was discovered the other year and several plant species have been named as new.
Whilst this is all well and good, the sad fact is that many more species are become extinct due to people and often I wonder if animals and plants being discovered is a good thing or a bad one? Often it turns out very badly for the animal or plant and it is easily observable that the places where animals and plants do best is where people don't go at all!

Is there such a thing as being an Agnostic Pagan...or a Pagan-Agnostic? Meaning, can I be agnostic but feel very connected to nature and still find the old beliefs quite intriguing and spiritual?

Noah's Arc left behind most people and animalsWas that an Evil or a Good act?My thoughts is Safety first! Automatic I've would of thrown out life jackets or peaces of wood for all of God's creatures to be saved during the flood. If God made everything perfect, why would God have 95% of Land Animals...

Do you have any experience with your tomato plants being devoured starting about 12 inches off the ground, and at the same time, any unripened tomatoes being eaten, even if they were 1 inch from the ground? Some marauder came into my garden last night and ate 17 of 19 set tomatoes on one plant. And...

What animal species wins the award for being the dirtiest on earth?Max a pooch wrote a hub about that. From a dog's point of view he points his paw at Homo Sapien. Do you agree with Max, or do you have another candidate for dirtiest animal species?

Over the last few months, I have been wondering what would happen to the Christian belief, if the body of Jesus was to be discovered. And he did not die as described in the bible. And along with the discovery of the body, the discovery of texts written by Jesus himself and these texts were in major...
