I've been thinking of creating another account here in HP for an entirely different targeted audience and more focused topics. If you will read my hubs, you'll see that I write about different things / topics hence the new 'more focused' account.
My question is...if you have two or more accounts in HP, how do you keep them separated (or do you?) from each other?
Well what normally works for me is to try to treat each account as a separate as entity, as i try not to let what im doing with one account conflict with the other. I don't know if that helps or not, but that's what i do at least.
I'm doing the same, but will concentrate more on one topic or more only to avoid conflict with my main account. Good luck, emievil.
Thanks Stevennix. My fear is that I will answer one post with my current account and then answer the next post (on the same thread) with my new account . Seriously, do you have a separate niche for each account?
Well for me personally, I do. unlike this account where i try to be as politically correct as humanly possible. on my other account, i tend to be a lot more vocal about things. the best way to think of it is like whenever your using your main account, just focus on what relates to your main account. then when you use your other account, you just focus on only things that pertain to that particular account.
Okay will keep that in mind. Thanks .
Also bumping this up for other hubbers (who were still probably asleep when I first posted this).
My other accounts don't participate on forums so it is easy for me to keep them separated.
Same as UW.
My 2nd account has to do with totally different niches and i never really visit forums or post comments there when i'm logged in. Apparently it's not allowed i think.
Feels kind of lonely when i'm there though. For some strange reason, i feel like a stranger there, working quietly on my own.
Haven't made friends and barely any followers.
I just concentrate on my writings there.
With this account, i can write, frolick around the forums, post my comments etc.etc.

I've always wondered why some Hubbers have more than one account. Is this a good thing or not? The only thing I can think of is that after a person writes many Hubs, it becomes a chore to take care of that one account.

Hey y'all.Clueless newbie here with what may be a really obvious question in multiple parts:Is it permissible to have multiple accounts here? This might seem like a horrible idea - I don't know - but I actually blog as myself and as someone else (it makes so much more sense when you read it...

I've been a niche writer mostly since joining HP (home repair and such) and feel I've done rather well for myself having started with zero experience. For that I'm grateful and pleasantly surprised. However......I have other interests and though I don't plan on abandoning my home helper Hubs, I...

Trying out the Hub Hopper I noticed there is a queue distinguishing typical hubs from a creative work or humor. Since HP apparently values them differently would having a separate HP account for typical hubs that are not creative writing and one for creative writing offer any advantages? Also, what...

I have noticed a few hubbers may have 2 accounts here; I can understand a few reasons such as different niche you may want to target and so on. However, I am curious;1. What are your reasons for 2 or more accounts?2. How much extra you have to work to promote each accounts such as answering...

Can I open a second account and use my referral link?I was going to create a separate account to write on one specific topic. It occurred to me that I might be able to use my referral link, since it is a separate account and “personality”. Is this allowed?
