Disaster struck a couple of weeks ago.  When I open my computer there was a box with a blue line going from left to right stating that I will loose all my headings but no content of my writing. Further it also said that I could not switch it off.

True enough I lost all my heading such as Google on the top, spellcheck and so on. I also lost the box when I click on the right hand which enabled me to save my pictures I wanted.

Is there anything I can do to get all this back?  The Spellcheck was very thorough, more than some, no offense meant, and that box is absolutely vital to copy pictures.

If you can - please help.

You may be able to do a system restore, which will reset the system to its configuration prior to the incident.

You are welcome. It is not that complicated, but the settings depend on what operating system you are using. In Windows XP and Windows Vista, System Restore is available under Programs/Accessories/System Tools. There are a few steps, more or less self-explanatory.

Store things like pics on an External Hard drive - it helps as a relatively safe back up doesn't eat up your space.
Sorry to hear this.. but WE is correct.
Also do you have recovery software?

Thank you for your kind reply. I thought I leave it long enough for people to reply because people are so busy. I am trying to be considerate.

Sorry, Website Examiner for deserting my post. I had a lot of health problems and was only able to keep up with writing comments. Now I am back in full swing and can concentrate on that. I had a growth on the liver - I would, wouldn't I - and I was worried sick being cancer. Thank you God it wasn't. I had an operation to remove it.  So watch out hubpages, I am back. hahaha

Thank you for your valuable help. I will look into and and if I have anymore questions, I will be back.

By the way it is Internet Explorer.

Find out what operating system (OS) you are using. Internet Explorer is not an OS, it is a browser.

If your system (be it windows xp,vista or 7) has no recent restore point then you need to use 'PC inspector File recovery' software to recover old data before it gets overwritten by some another block of data.

You can go to a free media repository like Wikimedia Commons, find the image you want, open it online, right-click on it, then copy the URL for the image and import it by inserting the URL into the image capsule. This is an alternative to uploading your own images.

You can simply try to uninstall the graphics driver and update it with latest graphics driver.
