Has anyone had any luck with the free dating site, Plenty of Fish? I tried it and so far I'm not impressed. It's not the site, it's the people on it. Too many fakes, liars, and psychopaths. I noticed that in my area, Port Angeles, WA, the male profile outnumber the female profiles at least 10:1. Most of these male profiles are looking for one thing - sex which puts a damper on the ones who are actually upfront and honest. The female profiles arn't nothing to brag about either.

Now you go to a pay dating site, and you'll see the male/female profile more evenly balanced. I figure if you are actually paying $30-$50 a month, you're more serious. It's like if bullets cost $5,000 each, you'd take more care in taking aim and there would be no inocent bystanders.

Someone I know has had terrible experiences on that website. She is very nice and beautiful. The men are always losers. Thanks for posting this question, as it verifies the feelings about the site.

I guess what I'm getting at is that there are legit and straight up men and women on that site. Unfortunately the losers (both men and women) on that site are making everyone look bad.

Plentyoffish is my experience is filled with a bunch of creepy men.  Better off as a female to join match.com or eharmony.  A friend of mine sctually married someone from match.com and my brother married someone he met from eharmony.  So it does work, but plentyoffish...ugh.  You get what you pay for.
