what are backlinks?

    The more I read about backlinks, the more I realize I may not know what they are.  Is it the same thing as hyperlinking a word in your article with a different website or another hub?

      A backlink is a hyperlink that is placed on another webpage and points back to your content.  Inbound links to your content are called backlinks.  The outbound links from your content become backlinks to the content you are sourcing too.  Here is a bit more info that I wrote on the subject to help you further:

        Thanks...believe me, I will.  How about RSS feed? I know what it looks like but how does that play into Hubs.  Do we set up our own Hubs to appear as RSS?  (Can you tell how new I really am?)  Thanks for your help.
