Ive just had my saturday ruined by an email from google.
Apparently my account has been disapproved after four months for providing only one name in my application!
ive copied the highlights below;
Issues:
- Account information incorrect or not provided
Further detail:
Incomplete name provided: We've found that you have provided only one
name in your application. In the 'Payee Name' field of the application,
individual accounts must provide a full first and last name, and
business accounts are required to supply a company name.
im shocked that the repsonse to finding this from google is to disaprove my account. Surely an email for such a trivial problem would have done. After all if its just the payee name, why do they care so much if they cant make payment!
They supplied a link to follow to resubmit an application...except that just links to a message telling me i cant log in.
Tried to contact google, but their help system just tells me to check my email...
As a student that studied before and after the birth of google, I was a massive fan...now the love affair is well and truly over
any thoughts? I'd appreciate some suggestions...
my research on the google forums suggests im not the only one to have suffered from losing my account to a oddity like this and I doubt im the first hubber to suffer in this way, or the last.
Has anyone got any tips on getting past the google maze and accessing an actual person?
It could be helpful for you to post directly to the AdSense support forum. They have people there who can flag posts for staff review.
Another option is to attempt a password reset in the hope of gaining access to your AdSense account. Even though your application was denied, you should not have been locked out. You can find the instructions by running a search, since Google has those instructions posted online.
A third option is to submit a new application, since the previous one was invalid. You would need to use a different email address.

i'd considered the password reset...might leave that for a last resort.
Ive posted on the forum but need to wait till monday for it to be seen by adsense staff (hadnt thought for one moment that google would only have customer support mon-fri!)
cant really submit a new application without losing my earnings i guess.
seems so stupid as from what i can remember I put my surname and first initial for the first name....not sure why but assumed that was what the earnings cheque would say....
needless to say id have never thought that a reason to get chucked out!
why not just have a reminder that pops up when you submit your application to tell you its not correct like every other online form ive ever submitted...
Am i really the only one to have faced this?
There are no earnings to lose. AdSense doesn't work retroactively. You only start generating income from the time your AdSense account becomes activated.

To clarify, my account has been active since october 2010...
I even went through the process of having a confirmation code for payment sent to me by post as id reached a minimum of sorts and they wanted to prepare my details for payment.
That was all completed in january...
it was an active account for several months...so not keen to start a new account and lose four months earnings (small earning of course!)
My point isnt that i havent been able to open an account, more that it has been restrospectively taken away from me several months into its use!
further research into the google forums shows that similar stories have happened to people many months or even years after the account was opened for various reasons.
My question was really if any body had reported a similar experience here from the hubpages community or knew a way to contact google via email as the help section in google is incredibly impenetrable!

A week ago, I received an email from Google AdSense saying my application had been partially reviewed, they would continue to review my site and it would be either approved or disapproved in 4 business days. I still haven't heard anything. Is there anything I can do other than send them an email?
