Yes there has been a battle between the members who either believe in creation or evolution as the origin of life. I have been a part of this battle. There will always be this fight. Each side will present it's own evidence and argument. It comes down to the fact of personal belief. Are we here to change beliefs? No.

Evolution does occur. There is no denying that. However, is it where the origin of life came from?Who knows? There is evidence for it and against it. In my side of the argument I stated that evolution is a scientific process but that I was not informed enough to argue that, 100% for sure, the origin of human life came from such a process.

Separate Evolution and Evolution as the origin of human life. They are two completely separate things. One is pure science, and the latter brings in to play religion, and personal beliefs.

Evolution belongs with science. Creation belongs with religion. Leave it at that. Respect each other's opinions and beliefs.

Now if you feel the need. Continue the debate. Or realize that you can stick with what you know, or be open to change (in either case). But you cannot do both.

Hmmm. Not really sure why you started this again. Humans evolved from other species. Of this there is no question. Whether a god started the process is a whole 'nuther question.

Unfortunately - if there was a goal in mind when the process began - this makes the theory of evolution useless - null, void, unworkable.

      But I do have a question -

Why would I want to respect another's beliefs exactly?

Why should I respect a belief that says "evolution does not happen. We were created in our present form by a god."

This is irrational. Why should I respect an irrational belief?

I certainly respect another's right to believe whatever they choose. But the belief itself? No - I will continue to make fun of it thanks................ big_smile

If they would just call chimps a human species instead of humans being a chimp like species then maybe this arguing would cease and we could move on to better things. big_smile

How come nobody asks about GOD? Don't you think GOD is forever young and possible growing and changing?

No. There is no magical invisible super being. That is the good news - now you can relax and enjoy learning about how we really came about. wink

I understand what you're saying Mark. I guess I can respect something without understanding or believing it. Maybe I should have said respecting someone's right to believe, as you suggested. smile

There is no evolution.Where is the exact proof of this?If Africans were the original people, which tribe told us about evolution?
