    Hi All,

A few days back I recall reading an interesting exchange of comments between various Hubbers about how to go about getting a conventional book (of course one that is your own property and copyright is yours), into a format that enables it to be placed with companies such as Amazon for purchase as a download to a Kindle or similar device. Apparently one particular Hubber actually specializes in performing this very service for people for a fee. My problem is for the life of me I can't remember which Hubber she was, and can't remember where I read the exchange of comments, i.e. was it on a hub or on a forum etc.

Can anyone involved in that exchange of comments, or anyone who knows who I might be referring to help me out please and put me in touch with her (I think she was a girl), as I need to see if she can help my Step Father get his own two books into this format so he can place them with some e-book companies.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think that it might be Sandyspider that you are looking for Misty - it was on one of Ryan's threads

That would be me. I did this for Gary Anderson and uploaded it for him on Smashwords.

        Hi Sandy,

I got your email reply, so I have now emailed you the info you asked for and will wait to hear back from you with any other questions you might have, and any suggestions on what else might be needed, costs etc. Thanks ever so much again.

      Hi SunSeven,

That is a really generous offer, thanks so much. Leave it with me as I had already contacted Sandy before getting your response and am in the process of giving her the info she asked for. Might be a bit more complicated in my case too, as the two books are currently in Microsoft Works format, as opposed to 'Word' and at least one of them has several black and white maps within the book. I don't know much about this, but am keen to know what is involved in this and how much it is likely to cost if it is going to take some hours of time to complete and make adjustments to spacing etc where necessary.

      Thanks again smile smile smile
