I wont be bothered with republishing it here.

But, I just had a hub on "Little Black Bikinis" pulled for Adult/Mature Content

Here is the cached version of the hub (even though its unpublished it is still visible)

    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s … google.com

    _______________________________________
So anyone see what the problem may be?

I am interested as I plan on using this content elsewhere and want to make sure its within every ones general standard of decency. Since HP's editorial style now calls for unannounced removal and unpublishing of content resulting in loss of serps positioning I wont be leaving it ..but your opinions are still valid.

    here is the message:

    Dear sunforged,

Your Hub has been identified as a violation of our Terms of Use.

Violation: Adult Content – Nudity, lewd or provocative images, explicit or profane content and/or links to adult/pornography sites

A link to your Hub: http://hubpages.com/hub/little-black-bikini

    Adult can mean:
    * Sexually explicit writing, including descriptions of sexual acts or practices
    * Nudity (including strategically covered nudity, see-through or sheer clothing, and close-ups of breasts, butts, or crotches)
    * Lewd or provocative images
    * Images containing the URL of sites with adult content
    * Excessive profanity, or profanity in the Hub title
    * Content on sexual aids, toys, or enhancements
    * Fetish content or content with sexual intent
    * Penis or Breast enlargement content or products
    * Links to sites with any of the above

Your Hub has been unpublished, giving you the opportunity to edit it and make it compliant with our Terms of Use. When you are ready to have HubPages review it again, please edit it and click the "Submit for Publication" button. We will then review your Hub, and publish it if it abides by our Terms of Use. You then get an email saying that the Adult designation has been cleared and the Hub republished.

Please note that repeated violations will result in the closing of your account. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our Terms of Use before publishing again:

    Sincerely,

    The HubPages Team

So thats my odd surprise attack hub, unpublished out of the blue. It was meant to be tongue in cheek and actually was featured frontpage on HP for about a month. Its never been changed in any way.

    ____________

Anybody else have an example to share?

I've republished your hub. We have doubled our staff in the past month, and mistakes happen when people are new. The moderator should have disabled ads, rather than unpublished your hub, based on the images in the Amazon capsules. I apologize for any confusion this has caused. We appreciate your patience while we resolve the training issues that arise.

Ah...I am a huge fan of tasers in the workplace.  Nothing motivates folks like a 75kV shock when they make a mistake.

Norah,Thank you for taking the time to answer, I will see what I can do about amazon product images as I have no special connection to any of them.

I am wondering if the "Link" by the last person to comment on that hub could have triggered the Adult Content warning. It is a link (from your cached page I looked at) and it goes to a site that is Adult. At least the title of it is with words such as porn, s_x toys, etc.

I for one wish links of any kind were Not Allowed in comments. This could open the door for Our hubs to be flagged.

I better go check my bikini hubs on my other account - and then go and flag some of the indian aunty hubs!

I personally find this topic very important.  I mean...everyone should have at least a dozen black bikinis and it's important to understand the effect you can have on others around while wearing one.  lol  Two thumbs up for an informative hub. lol

On this point - I have a hub that is unique content around an unusual subject which has been unpubished for well over a week now as being spun or sub-standard or whatever - I have checked it over and it is well written, long enough and clearly not 'spun' although there are no pictures - but my email to mods asking for an explanation or put it back is unanswered despite the time limit they give themselves in the mail.

I am a patient kinda guy but I have had two hubs pulled for what are (in my opinion) pretty vaccuous reasons - both after I criticised the mods in these threads.  I am working on a new conspiracy theory already !

Well, I wouldn't make a point of showing it to adolescent boys, but they would probably find it themselves anyway.  smile

Hey Sunforged, I recently had a hub unpublished due to the nature of a provocative image displayed by Amazon. The product apparently broke the rules.

It was a picture(actually a poster) of Angelina Jolie in a see-thru shirt and she was in water. The image was considered Nudity. So, I had to take the product off the page.

Any picture too provocative, including thong bikinis are a violation of Adsense rules. hmm

but, the concept of getting fellow hubbers help for mod issues may be useful, just grab the cache link like I did. I never would have noticed images in products, so appreciate the help from staff and hubbers alike.

I use Chrono. It seems easier to follow along the posts made. You're welcome also. smile

I also agree, hubbers would make great moderators. However, I would still think that some people would feel better about doing it, if they were compensated in some manner, even if it was increase impression percentage? wink

The hub was visible in Saudi Arabia before as I remember looking it at it when I looked at your hubs - they censor everything!! So if they did not feel the need to censor it why would HP????
Come on guys - seen far worse on the beach and in my mums Avon book!!!!

I guess Im back quicker then I expected smile

I meant to reference "volunteer moderators" to help Hubbers figure out their Moderation issues, I was unfamiliar with product images causing issues as I dont have many hubs in topics that would possibly cause that issue, this thread quickly informed me of that possibility.  I got lucky that Norah noticed this thread and the small technicality that allowed it to be republished quickly, but perhaps in traditional circumstances other hubbers would benefit from community knowledge.

Often we see complaints in this forum in gibberish with non-working links to unpublished hubs.Perhaps if someone would show how to grab the cached link, others problems could be settled quickly. (I'll still ignore the gibberish ones though! smile )

Thats kind of what I always expected from a need help, ask here type of forum smile
