Obama cares nothing for the United States Constitution - this much I know.  What I demand is that anyone who thinks of themselves as a "Conservative" . . is that they recognize that Bush's "patriot act" is as unconstitutional as anything could possibly be.

Absolutely it is! And Obama maintains it in force!

I don't think a single president has ever followed the Constitution to the letter except Washington.

Unfortunately, things have just gotten out of hand.

I fear it's because democracies and republics are failed systems.

The system failed because we allowed it into places it didn't belong like education. The system requires the people to be educated but not educated by the government. The system requires morality and values passed on through family units and communities of worship a belief there exists something bigger than man bigger than our selves and that there are consequences for our immoral behaviour. The system failed because it relies on a free press that questions power and authority not one that is the mouth piece and cheer leader of power. The failure of the system is not complete yet and we can still turn it around.

In other words: Be just like you, and everything will be fine.

The system failed because of the age-old sin: Greed.

Capitalism basically thrives on greed. We invited failure when we made Capitalism the forced system of our gvt.

Money should not be the deciding factor in survivial. Every citizen has inalianable rights...Capitalism has made rights contingent upon how much money you have.

----You can do anything as long as you can afford it. Buy justice, buy freedom, buy abortions, and buy people in the gvt who then makes laws just for you.

Mammon is the problem, and it's funny that the worship of it comes from people who should act otherwise. IMO

"In other words: Be just like you, and everything will be fine."

That's actually the exact opposite of what Lady_Love was arguing.

How can everyone "be just like you" when we're asking each community to raise their children instead of one large conglomerate known as 'The Federal Government'.

You took her argument, and literally flipped it upside down, and then argued against the opposite of what she had to say.

              Fantastically brilliant.

Right and she made capitalism the enemy when its the exact opposite. Greed isn't the problem nor is money, the problem is a belief that you're entitled to whatever you want even if someone else has to be forced to pay for it.

Thirty day holding period!? My question is, do they realize that the food will probably go bad in less than thirty days? And is there an off shore detention camp for suspicious foods that might have ties to Alqueda?
