You can, but you won't earn any money from them.
You earn money on HubPages mainly from Adsense, and Adsense ads cannot be displayed on adult content.
Unfortunately Adsense is like an old maiden aunt, and their definition of 'adult content' is very strict. Even using a "naughty word" like "butt" can get you in trouble!
Your stories would certainly trip HubPages' filters and would be unpublished. You can apply to have them republished if they're literary and not pornographic, but chances are they won't show any ads on them, so you would earn no money.
Welcome to Hubpages! Adult content is not allowed on Hubpages. However, if they are literary pieces, and not just plain pornography your short stories may be allowed. But before publishing, better contact the Hubpages team. But again, as you, the author, have created and classified them as "erotic", the likelihood of their acceptance is very thin.
There is a place for everything and HubPages is not the place for erotica. If that's your thing, go to Literotica.
Adult content is not allowed on Hubpages. Here is what they say:
"Hubs are not allowed to contain adult content. Below are some examples of prohibited adult content; this should not be interpreted as exhaustive list of what is prohibited. Further, your Hubs must also comply with Google AdSense Program Policy on Adult Content.
The following are not allowed:
Inappropriate language, including excessive profanity
Content on sexual aids, toys, or enhancements
Fetish content or content with sexual intent
Sexually explicit writing, including descriptions of sexual acts, tips, or practices
Nudity and lewd, obscene, or provocative images (including strategically covered nudity, see-through or sheer clothing, and close-ups of breasts, butts, or crotches)
Or, links to sites that contain any of the above"

This suggestion is not one I wish to incorporate in the current debate which has spread over Hubpages like wildfire. It is, however, a serious suggestion- one I hope gets at least a little thought. What would it take to have a Hubpages affiliated site which featured only adult content? ...

Should Hubpages have a seperate website for Adult/mature content? Many authors here have written poetry, short stories, or hubs with mature humor that have been flagged and unpublished. I think HP should have another site where we can publish these hubs. Thoughts?

Do you think erotic Hubs should be flaggedThere are some poets who really write erotic Hubs. I don't think some of them are for General Audiences.

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no idea...

I feel concerned that the reason google may prefer ehow as opposed to hubpages, is because there is an abundance of poetry and short stories. I am not by any means saying that those who publish the short stories and poetry are not good, but they are not usually searchable or high market. I...
