Kontera will not be missed by me. I think this is a good decision Hubpages.

I only used it for a short time, then kept it off my hubs. I don't like the way it looks or works. smile

I don't use Kontera, so I will not miss it.  I think it is a good move since removing those kontera links will make the hub article more user-friendly.  Some users really don't like the Kontera links.

Thanks for the update Simone! I had originally signed up for it but later turned it off after reading more about how it worked. Looking forward to moving on to other options with HubPages ads.

Kontera sucked anyway. It's good to see it go.

This needed to be done a long time ago. My experience with them was not good at all. I was never paid any of my earnings.

Very few dimes from anywhere.  But Kontera has always showed "zip" - and now I see why with the six-month disappearals.

It's a shame to see Kontera go in my opinion, it has never earned me much but it has always beena  nice little supplimental to my online earnigns that I would not have received otherwise.

Premsing - Kontera does NOT remove your earnings if you earn less than 5 dollars, this changed years ago and there is no reason at all to perpetuate that rumour. Nor do they remove your earnings after 6 months, the simply don't keep statistics that long.

I can't speak to the earnings issue, since I only activated Kontera about 3 weeks ago and got no earnings yet. But I don't like the intrusiveness, and often irrelevance, of the ads, so I'm not sorry to see it go.

I have about $30 balance in it, derived only from Hubpages. Does that mean I must say goodbye to that as I'll never make payout in time? I haven't got it activated at the moment and it won't reactivate when I try so I really have no chance of making payout..

This is really a good news, Kontera is horrible. If HubPages can bring in InfoLinks after phasing out Kontera, that will be awesome...

Kontera was boring for me! The payouts are absolutely awful! However, it would be excellant if Hubpages allows Infolinks or chitika as a few options. smile

i always used to wonder y hubpages has kontera because i knew only a very small percentage of people use it..
Thanks for doing that, i wish the new ad program from hubpages will earn for people more...
