I thought you would like to read about this article I came across today that was pretty interesting, it talks about how Mr. Zuckerberg along with other Facebook executives has set-up profiles on Googles new Social Site.
There is still speculation if these are real profiles or not.
Here is the link:
Zuckerberg Finds Fans on Google+
In case the link does not show up you can find it on the New York Times website entitled "Zuckerberg Finds Fans on Google+" for July 5th, 2011 by Jenna Wortham.
Wow things are really heating up over these social sites. Do you think Google+ will be successful?
Would not really surprise me if Mark and others had Myspace & Linked-In profiles as well.
Your probably right, the article did say that Tom Anderson the co-founder of MySpace has a Google+ profile as well. I guess they want to see what the competition is doing.
By the way Myspace was just sold to Justin Timberlake which is a surprise.
Almost an owner, Justin is creative director and has a stake in Myspace.
So some of teh more technological minded people on this planet use Google, it is not much of a surprise. Facebook and Google are not competitors, no matter how much the media would like to portray otherwise.
I don't know, this could be a scam. Or a clever trick by Google to get Facebook devotees to take notice.
Yeah because it is an attempt for Google to try and win at the social space, having Zuckerberg on the site is already causing users to follow his profile. It will be interesting to see how things pan out.
Well I would like to join Google+. Not that I am into social networking or anything, but because a friend of mine is member and she sent me an invite.
But I am held in a queue.
If I had Mark Zuckerberg's kind of money, I wouldn't be held in a queue. That is the way of the world.
I wonder if Master Zuckerberg needs a substitute Mammy? <g>
Your in a queue?
I accepted a Google Plus invite last night and went right through. I dont have Zuckerberg money
Google Plus+ as though we didn't have enough to keep up with while on the subject on FB, don't forget to hit the 'like' button on Direxit, It needs some encouragement, its lonely with only me liking it so far
yes- just saw that in another forum too - although invites are out there, registration is currently closed.
I must have just slipped in, as my invite sat unopened for several days.
At the risk of being massively wrong later. it doesnt look like a winner to me .. I wasnt enticed by the Google Plus program once I got in and they forced me to rename my web album folder to my real name rather than my business name.
I might drop it for that reason alone.
Never say never.
Who'd have thought Facebook would turn out such a massive hit?
To be honest, those members who are my family and friends have gone down a notch or two in my estimation since aligning themselves with this software.
It's like they never learned ANYTHING at all about staying safe or staying private online.
Their photos, their date of birth, EVERYTHING is there for the world to see, and copy from.
I wouldn't be surprised tomorrow to learn I have 16 million daughters, all with the same name and birthday.
My own daughters have no clue, their father even less, and no-one is listening to me.
If you MUST join Facebook, be very very careful what personal information you divulge.
lol, I didnt say never. Just on first glance it doesnt do it for me. I dont expect to be going back to look it over anytime soon as a result.
I was excited for Google wave - that didnt pan out either.
Google has a history of social flops - orkut, wave, buzz
I really cant imagine anyone I know picking "plus" over their comfortable existence at Facebook.
I am concerned about the face recognition software Facebook is using on their site. It seems to be such an intrusive way to identify people.
Hmmm. I had no problem being accepted about 30 minutes ago. I received my invite this afternoon.
Naw Izzy, they likely just have snakes in their heads!

Is Mark Zuckerberg really a bad guy as the movie "The Social Network" portrayed him?

As many of you know, Google recently introduced a feature to identify authors around the web. To be recognized as an author, you need to create a Google profile and add links to your profiles on the websites and blogs where you write (which includes your HubPages sub-domain).However there is...

Lately, I've noticed some Hubbers Have Their Picture along side Google Search Results for their Hubs. How is this done? Seems like it may be helpful to entice people to click on a Hub link in Google.

I have to issue a grovelling apology here, I stuffed up mightily. I posted an explanation of how to claim authorship with Google, and made one small but extremely important mistake. For those who followed the original advice, my sincere apologies. You need to edit your profile and...

As others, I am saddened by the recent Google update and drop in traffic,(luckily I have my eggs in different baskets) but what really ticks me off is that articles written recently (like a month ago!) by the average Joe and clearly copied from mine are outranking me! What I noticed is that when I...
