Wordpress, Drupal or Joomla....Which is the best platform?

      I agree.  Wordpress is relatively easy to use.  I think the Dashboard could be a little lighter and easier to navigate though.

      I'll go for wordpress, specially if your purpose is for SEO. It has a lots of free plugins that can enhance SEO settings.

      i would lean more towards Joomla because of the vast amount of free available modules however i prefer DNN over all 3

   They all have their own pros. and cons. Of course Wordpress is a great platform but if you want to run a e-commerce website then you should analyze the features available with other CMSs. Joomala has been known the best handler of a e-commerce website. You can find more information at the below links about CMSs and their features.

   I've developed sites for clients in all three CMS and my personal favourite is still WordPress. It has better SEO, and above all, it's MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to manage and maintain, not to mention template for.
   
   Unless you are looking at some functionality that can only be accomplished with J! or Drupal (Like a specific plugin taht you like to use) I'd stick with WordPress. I've seen social networks, online commerce, classified websites, etc... done with WordPress and being perfectly good to manage.
   
   Joomla/Drupal seems good for intranets though, at least popular. But then, the alternative is often Sharepoint.

   I've worked with Drupal, Joomla and Wordpress.  Although I haven't had all that much experience with Joomla, but I'd have to say it really depends on your type of website.
   
   We used Drupal for a corporate page, there was a ton of customization to the templates and all the plug-ins but when all was said and done it came out really nice.  (But it did cost quite a bit of money for everything we wanted)
   
   Joomla was what we had planned on using for our Intranet, unfortunately we had to stop that project due to budget cuts so I was unable to work with that CMS too much.  Although it seemed very similar to Drupal and a lot of the offerings were the same.
   
   I use Wordpress on my own and I have a few sites up at the moment on wordpress, relatively simple Blog formatted sites that aren't anything too fancy.  I like wordpress because it's by far the easiest platform to develop/maintain.  But if you need e-commerce, or customized features, Drupal or Joomla seem to be the way to go.

   Just blogging - Wordpress - Up and running in 5 to 10 minutes
   
   Blogging with more content management, forums, comments, user registration, social networking etc. etc., with easy and no programming skills required - joomla - Up and running in 30 minutes and more.
   
   All above joomla things with, more customization, advanced SEO, complex requirements, with php programming skills (not mandatory but nice to have to achieve more customization) - drupal - Up and running - not so sure, but I guess more than joomla.

    I think wordpress is more user friendly than another cms. It is simple and also contains very attractive designs, which you can suitably manage.

    One more vote for Wordpress due to user friendliness.
    
    But for functionality, I will vote for Drupal.  Although you need to be a programmer to configure Drupal properly, but the feature set offered by Drupal is much more than any other CMS.
