               I am not like most people. I am an indevidual. I speak my peice and try to help others.
               
               for example,
               
               Here is why I have a window sticker on my car since 2008 that reads: " I'LL KEEP MY GUNS, FREEDOM AND MONEY. YOU KEEP THE CHANGE." Kind of says it all!
               
               
               Time is ticking away and 2012 is around the corner.

                     I have mentioned many times, If WE make it till 2012. If you are content with the way things are going at this point, then, pay no mind to me or my comments.
                     
                     WE, are in a mess, and, you and I know it.
                     
                     WE, need answers, and WE need them now. I do not at this point think, a Barn Dance is what WE need.

         The following will happen.
         
         1. Get our Government to work, FOR THE PEOPLE.
         ...
         2. Get a Congress that will, HEAR THE PEOPLE.
         
         3. Get a Senate that will, STAND FOR THE PEOPLE
         
         4. Last but not least, A LEADER WITH A BACKBONE.

      I think the Constitution provides for a unique kind of term limits.
      
      They are called elections. They put the power in the hands of the voter to decide when/if a legislator is ineffective.
      
      We need to focus on developing the informed voter. Public Broadcasting is one way.

         Anyone with a lick of brain knows the incumbent has a huge advantage.  He has been able to buy votes by getting pork for his state or district.
         12 years is enough for anyone to serve, no matter how good they are.  One of the reasons we have been mired in the mud, is too many old timers of both parties.  Let's get some new blood with new ideas.  Yeah they may stumble here and there, but I guarantee you the present group has not been stellar.  Mostly a bunch of millionaires that just want the prestige of the office, rather than anyone that really wants to serve the needs of the nation.  That's why we will not have Social Security or Medicaid reform anytime soon.  They are more afraid of not being reelected than they are serious about fixing problems.

      So why do we limit the president to 10 years?  Someone must have thought term limits a good idea at one time in order to get a Constitutional amendment passed.
      On that same note, why do we have a minimum age for federal office?  Shouldn't the electorate decide?

   I agree with most of this, I think it will be hard to void all previosu contracts, however I think there are a lot of good points raised, teh most significant of which is that Congress should live in the same world as the American people if they are to make decisions on what is best for the people they serve.
