There are some states in which there is a covid 19  vaccination mandate or no participation in certain activities.  What else should be mandatory in the United States?  I can name many things.......Let's go..

Manditrot ID when voting (in person as well as mail-in in all states)
Mandatory physical as well as cognitive health evaluation for Presidential candidates as well as Congressional candidates.
      Mandatory term limits on Congress.

The first and last would be great.  The physical and particularly mental health evaluation, not so much.  I would envision a panel of perhaps 10 psychiatrists, 5 chose by Democrats and 5 by Republicans.  A panel that would then deadlock on each and every candidate according to their party affiliation.

Most likely you're right. Guess we will stick to our current methods for a cognitive evaluation. Like does the president remember a name of a leader he is talking to when he needs to actually address them?

I guess you are correct. Our current method works -- like recognizing a cognitive problem when a president forgets the name of a leader he is speaking to and calls him "the man down under".  Yeah, that can work too... LOL

LOL  Yes, it's likely the best we have.

I see nobody mentioned the mental problem of a man who thought he could pressure his vice president into overturning a Constitutionally protected federal election. lol

Strangely enough, I agree with you on these items. However, I've seen and worked with term limits as an editor of the code books in my state. I watched as the quality of the bills introduced and acts passed went to hell in a handbasket. Inexperienced lawmakers introduced some of the most ridiculous bills ever, most of which, thankfully, never made it through committee. In addition, the number of bills introduced tripled and in some years even quadrupled, thus lessening the chances of needed legislation getting passed. I was firmly against term limits until I began to study the effects of long-time members of congress from states with no term limits. I think although there are pros and cons of the term limits issue, I am in agreement with it now.

Change the Constitution to add mandatory term limits on the Supreme Court instead of lifetime appointments. What we have now is constitutionally given free reign on a dictatorship in this country. (incorrect usage of "free reign" intended)

I agree. The Supreme Court justices should have limits.

Ladies and gentlemen,  let it rip.  I really mean this & it isn't going to be pretty at all:

    (1) Make birth control & sterilization mandatory for couples after they have anywhere from 1-3 children.  Penalize through taxes couples who are irresponsible & exceed the aforementioned amount of children.
    (2) Couples looking to get married & become parents should undergo mandatory testing.  Couples who refuse to under mandatory testing won't receive marriage certificates, be allowed to marry, or become parents.
    (3) Couples who don't have educational, psychological, & socioeconomic assets won't be allowed to marry nor have children.  Couples who don't meet educational, psychological nor socioeconomic requirements won't be allowed to marry nor have children.
    (4) The limitation for receiving welfare should be 6-12 months maximum.
    (5) Workfare should be instituted & able-bodied people on assistance be mandated to work or face imprisonment.
    (7) Welfare should be cut 85-90%, not to mention other worthless social programs so that the middle class can see their hard earned money.
    (8) Poor people who won't work should be imprisoned so they learn to work.

Hey, Grace, I really dig this. Especially numbers (1)-(3). If those were in effect, I think there would be less need for numbers (4)-(8). I could say a lot about Number 2 and my own situation many years ago, but I won't because I'd hate for my son to read it. As for as number (1), I've actually met the Duggers. When I was working at the State Capitol around 20 years ago, Jim Bob Dugger was a State Representative. He brought his whole (at that time) brood to the capital to view the ceremony welcoming him and the rest of the newbie legislators. I'm not sure how many children they had then, but I was repulsed at their irresponsible reproduction.
On another note, I still remember a statement made by Luci Johnson Nugent (President Lyndon Johnson's youngest daughter) when she was expecting her 4th child back in the mid-20th Century, "We can have all the children we want because we can afford them." I thought her statement was arrogant and irresponsible. I didn't think that she considered the kind of world her thinking was creating for her great grandchildren and their offspring. Would any of them be living in poverty because there wasn't enough money to go around for them? In short, this type of irresponsibility is leading to critical world overpopulation.
