Just got a substandard notice on an article I wrote in June I think, any way I checked it out and no spelling errors, grammer seems alright, is over 500 words close to 600 I think, all the links are good, is not on a forbidden subject, I am at a loss, but the moderators note said the Title need to be reworked. which I did, but since when do we get judged substnadard based on a title? I reqorked the title and resubmitted, after that what are my options?
I believe HP forbids deceptive titles; those that do not represent the subject of the hub. Beyond that, I have no idea.
I got the same thing a few months ago on an article I wrote over a year ago. Keep perfecting and resubmitting, eventually it will be approved. Once they approve it don't touch it again.
Stacie, I think Multiman's problem is that he has been using the title tuner but misunderstanding how it works.
A lot of your titles just read like a jumble of keywords and not proper phrases.
For example,
Dog Barks Barking Belgium Shepherd What Sounds Mean
Possible Help with Eczema, Flax One of the Home Remedies for Eczema Flaxseed How does it Work take Long
You should check out today's HubPages blog, as it talks about making good titles.
I understand now, I corrected 24 titles of my 189 earlier today, went in tonight to correct the rest and when I hit the edit button on any of the articles I get this message in read:
Note: This Hub is currently published. However, if you make any changes to it, it will immediately be unpublished until it has been re-approved for publication (which can take 24-48 hours).
Why? I am trying to do things right. And correct my misunderstanding of how to use title tuner, but now it won't let me correct the damn title. Yet, a moderator if I dont correct them will ultimately unpublish them, what has hubpages got again st me.
I think I would stop and talk to HP. It seems you have been caught in an automatic filter in that too many hubs have been unpublished and the automatics no longer trust you.
Given that you have understood whatever it is they don't like and will correct it to acceptable standards, HP may give you a bye on the latest thing.
It could even be that HP automatics is taking note of sudden massive title changes and questioning it. It WOULD seem a great way to scam, after all, by doing the exact opposite of what you are doing.
I would certainly suggest that the title tuner not be used at all - just edit the title. Correct me, please, if I'm wrong but it seems that damn tool is what caused this all in the first place!
That's a moderation hold on the entire account. It means that the moderators have decided that so much of your account has a problem, they want to manually check every single Hub before it's allowed to go live again.
The article on fiber and prilosac and gerd is also a jumble of words. Titles have length standard and need to have the necessary keywords and need to tell the reader and Google exactly what the article contains. As relache says, check out articles and blogs about good titles. Good luck.

I'm relatively new to this site.I know most sites of its type do their best to be "Google friendly" which translates into "family friendly" (a phrase I hate, by the way). Over the years when tempted to use profanity either in a title or in the body of an article (and I can...

I got this warning for the first time after just putting in a title: Yoga Benefits: Is Yoga Just Poses. Is it because I used yoga twice in the title or grammer? The warning said it may be substandard.

When you make titles do you consider drawing hits from Google, SEO, or just try to make it...interesting? I have tried both and it doesn't seem to make much difference.

So I'm at a lost about how to proceed here. During my first week on this site, I wasn't familiar with the system and I ended up spamming a couple of articles which were blocked for dupe content (one was quotes and the other I think was too similar to one of my other articles). The end result...
