Latest entry in the "... so how exactly do you expect to handle the heat of being POTUS?" club.
Rick Perry told Bill O'Reilly )of all people (!!!) he says he regrets participating in GOP debates.
He must be hanging out with Sarah "gotcha" Palin.
Seriously. Who else provides this kind of comic relief????

Many political observers agree that Rick Perry's dismal debate performances have helped spark his dramatic collapse in recent polls. Now, not surprisingly, the Republican presidential hopeful insists his biggest mistake in the campaign so far was agreeing to participate in the forums at all.
"These debates are set up for nothing more than to tear down the candidates. It's pretty hard to be able to sit and lay out your ideas and your concepts with a one-minute response," the Texas governor told Fox News's Bill O'Reilly.
"So, you know, if there was a mistake made, it was probably ever doing one of the [debates], when all they're interested in is stirring up between the candidates instead of really talking about the issues that are important to the American people."
Looks like someone's gonna get hisself voted off the island!
Too bad. So sad.
I thought his wife Anita was whiny. Nothing compared to Ricky.
Geez. It's HOT in Texas. Guess not hot enough....
Despite not being a fan of Rick Perry, I agree that politics should be about running a country, not putting on a show.
He complained about the 90 minute cram-session that was the debate...
... however, his group, along with all the rest of them (most likely with one exception) wanted the debates to be that long.
He's a lying scum bag politician, just like the rest of them (minus one).
Herman Cain: "Lying and making idiotic statements that I have to retract makes me a good politician!"
Romney: "I've changed my mind on everything... but you can trust me now!"
Perry: "I'm a crook!"
Santorum: "For the love of god, don't google my last name"
Gingrich: "Yeah, I know I'm completely unelectable. I'm on, what, my fourth wife?"
You wrote 106 words and "Vote for Ron Paul" is not among them. You're slipping.
Sorry I'm passionate about a candidate who's awesome.
Sorry you have yet to find a candidate worth believing in.
So Perry should do the right thing and drop out of the race.
Funny, yes. However although I'm not a fan -- I think he makes a valid point. The debates are structured in a way to entertain the audience, create drama and create "gotcha" moments. Almost every rushed answer, no matter how witty, begs follow-up questions and further explanation.
We, the people, must accept some blame for the idiocy that is a United States presidential campaign. The media thinks we want everything handed to us tied up in a neat little bow, so we don't have to think. Unfortunately, they are right. Many people do.
Have you noticed that the media spends precious little time exploring issues and huge amounts of time talking about political strategy? It's pathetic.
So, poor Rick can't handle the little bit of preparation required for a "debate" that is little more than an opportunity to spout talking points. And he wants to be President? lol

Saw him at the debate last night, when he appeared to have a "senior moment". Who's prepping this man, anyways? I almost felt sorry for him, it was so bad.As one commentator on mangoboss said, he is "winging it to oblivion".

Rick Perry is dropping out of the presidential race today. Just a few months ago there were a lot of people thinking he could beat Romney, but then he kept sticking his foot in his mouth in the debates. Is this the last we'll see of Rick Perry in national politics?

It is hard to decide in the TX governor's race whether to choose a career politician good at lying tricks, Rick Perry, or a democrat, Bill White. Who would you choose?

Hey all,During the last GOP debate (9/7/11), during a commercial break, Rick Perry decided to exchange a few words with the Champion of the Constitution. In order to do so, he had to forcefully lay his hands upon Paul.Looks like Perry can't even TALK to people without getting...

Rick Perry just declared he wants to be President. As he spoke I was reminded of G.W. Bush. Why ?

The Young Turks did some searching through Rick Perry's history of becoming a millionaire. Of course, Perry's not the only one benefiting in this way, but it's a pretty damning argument from them against Perry specifically.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuiBmY-v … afe=active
