A lot of people here have more than one account - you could certainly set up another profile if you so desire.
It is interesting that you have plunged every time you publish a hub - my traffic is absolutely in the dumps and I published two new hubs this week. I think I'm going to stop writing for a while to see if I recover any traffic. I've tried everything else, and Google still hates me

I would think creating a different HubPages account for a different type or genre of writing would be just fine.
I, too, see a plunge whenever I publish a hub.
