    So, I'm watching the news to chack the forcast and this entertainment news update appears with *Kim Kardasian files for divorce after 72 days of marriage to Kris Humphries.*
    I thought it was funny and don't know why because many people gloat over her and her family on the news. The net worth for the wedding was about an approx. of $17,900,000. Wow! In 72 days the divorce papers are filed?

    Share some thoughts people and also tell me how the Kardasians became celebrities.

    1.  OJ Simpson killed his wife and her friend

    2.  Simpson hired 8000 lawyers to defend him.. one of which was Robert Kardashian

    3.  Robert Kardashian had a number of kids, one of them a daughter named Kim who was blessed with a very large and shapely butt.

    4.  Kim was involved in a sex tape scandal

    5.  Ta da!!  celebrity status achieved!

    Great Figure == Celeb Status.
    Bad Figure == Paris Hilton.

    Either way, people can get celeb status these days.

    Here's a little unauthorized biographical info on the Kardashians:

    Following the success of "One Night In Paris", the Paris Hilton sex tape, Kim Kardashian released a sex tape of her own. Oops, her lawyers have just informed me that I have to say the sex tape was "leaked", and I should not imply that she released it. Fair enough. Although one might think this tape was no different than the amateur porn found all over the internet, this was slightly different because Kim Kardashian's deceased father was a household name for about 5 minutes during the O.J. trial and the man in the sex tape was Ray J, a relatively unknown hip hop artist who is 90's pop star Brandy's younger brother and a first cousin to Snoop Dogg.

    Kardashian cashed in on the sex tape (agreeing to a $5 million "lawsuit settlement" from Vivid Entertainment over the release of the tape) and parlayed her new-found fame into a reality show which first aired within 6 months of the release of the tape. The added fame from that show allowed her to become and actress and model and she also started a clothing and makeup business. The reality show also made her whole family famous (her step-dad, Bruce Jenner, was already famous decades ago as an Olympic athlete), and they've been riding those coattails ever since. This even includes sister Khloe, who has been known to unhinge her jaw and devour paparazzi who won't take pictures of her and is often able to swallow them without chewing.

    The Kardashians now spend their time marrying and divorcing various B-list athletes and trying to make their lives seem interesting on reality TV.

    their priorities in life are definitely screwed up.
    1.love of  money over love of spouse
    2. fame at all costs
    3. personal integrity in question
    4. family values money
    Kim values her fame and career more than her marriage it seems and momma value money to be made from  all her kids...

    Worse than the unprecedented Kardashian fame, is that I think the divorce is going to bring in even more viewers to her reality show and the E! network. Ryan Seacrest (who produces the show) will be even richer! E! was already promoting the next season of Kim and Kourtney Take New York. It's a vicious circle of Kardashian money making!

    I recently asked someone why the Kardashians are famous. She told me they're famous for being famous.
