Can anyone tell me why my Hubbber score keeps dropping?  My articles are better and I have good traffic but my hubber score keeps dropping. Anyone know why? Am I getting vote down because of the contest?

    Thanks,

    JT

No, we can't tell you.  Your score will go up, your score will go down and it won't make any sense at all.

Don't concern yourself - whatever causes it to change is probably mostly out of your control.

Your score is 100. But I appreciate the advice.

It's 100 now.  It could be 97 or even 93 tomorrow.

I suspect the algorithm is seeing some sort of activity from you that it doesn't like.

Maybe you're leaving too many comments, or following too many people.  Or possibly your rate of publishing hubs is too high.

Your account seems very active and maybe it's detected as unnatural, only HP knows for sure.

My publication rate us pretty high but it is all honest work.  As for the people I follow I and follow those who follow me. After the contest ends I will slow it down.

Thanks for taking the time to answer me.

Mine went down when I published two contest articles a day for a couple of days. Now it's back up and I won't do that again!

I am publishing two contest enteries a day and usually another article like tonight i covered the Republican Debate.  After the contest I will hope my score will go back up.

Part of the hubber score calculation comes from your overall hub score, traffic to your hubs, etc. Probably with numerous hubs being published daily, your overall hub average went down. It takes a while sometimes for new hubs to gain traffic, votes.
I'm sure after a time period, you'll start to see your score rising again.
Scores fluctuate often, so try not to look at it too seriously. It's great that you're participating in the contest. Good luck! Enjoy it.

            Thank you rebekehELLE,

It is good to have someone to remind me to keep perspective.  It was just disheartening to work so hard and see my score drop.  Yes it is the first time I have entered a hubpages contest.  Thank you.

As long as it stays above 75 I wouldn't worry. It really doesn't mean a lot.

Just write good stuff. Write with care. Write because whatever you are putting down has genuine and abiding meaning to you. Respect the reader because they are doing you a great honor if they spend the time to consider each word you place upon the page. Do that. Every time. Read and re-read everything you post and make sure it is as perfect as you can possibly make it, not because people are going to judge it, but because it reflects who you are and what you stand for. The rest will work out just fine.
