Amazon refuses to pay me for my work due to a Typo which I brought to their attnetion.

They then make up lies about how they can not run a report.

They can track everything you do on their site, send you dozens of emails for everything you look at but can't run a simple report.

I called them on their BS Bluff.  I'm not an idiot. I used to work with a company that designed billing software.  I've seen just how easy it is to run a database query.

Amazon has decided it's okay to STEAL FROM ME.

Classless. Totally Classless. Then I get this Email Response... and to top it off it's from a NO REPLY Email address.

    ---------------------------

"I understand that this situation is frustrating, and I regret that we have not been able to address your concerns to your satisfaction. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer any additional insight or action for this matter.

We hope to see you again soon.

    Did I solve your problem?"

    -----------------------------

Frustrating?  NO it's not frustrating, it's THEFT.  I did the work and now I will not be paid.  That's theft.

They "Regret".  You mean you have regrets about STEALING from me?

"We hope to see you soon".  Really?  You steal from me and you expect me to buy from you?  Are these people really that callous and stupid?

    "Did I solve your Problem".

Well the day will come when Amazon will go away.

Just as soon as the States get together and put a stop to their tax free status.

If this is the way you are going to treat your affliates you DESERVE to crash and burn.

I am a Professional Afflaite Marketer. I work with more than a 100 Afflaite companies.

And Amazon is the FIRST of those 100+ to INTENTIONALLY refuse to pay me for my work.  The PORN industry has a higher moral ethic than Amazon and they treat their Affliates with respect, because they understand their value.

Amazon was built on the backs of Affliates... this is truly pathetic.

But this is also Corporate America where the Customer Services Monkey's do as they are told so they can keep their $10 an hour benefitless jobs.

    Sad sad Pathetic Amazon.

I can only hope HubPages will have enough class to allow the TRUTH to be posted.  But I would not be surprised if they did not.  You see the Internet is not really free speech.

      Hi Mike
I have read your Hub and now the same in the forum and all i can say is that it is your own fault that you put in the wrong code, you can't pin the blame on someone else for your mistake.
If I put in a wrong code then it is my mistake I don't go bad mouthing others for something that I did wrong.
yes sometimes mistakes cost us money and that is tough luck but Amazon are not to blame.
Amazon have millions of affiliates, each with individual correct codes, how can they track a code that does not exist?
Get over it and stop bad mouthing, rectify your mistake and start earning from your pages that have Amazon ads  instead of going into a strop and spoiling your own future earnings from them.....jimmy

When peole work for you... you pay them.

There is no question there was a typo.

How you track the code is very simple.  It's a database.  You query the uniqe misspelled typo.  It's very very easy to do.  I worked for a company that designed billing software.  I worked with the programmers.  Its basically a 1 line command.

You don't think Amazon can track an Affiliate ID... but they can track everything that you look at?

Well think it's okay to cheat people out of their money then perhaps you should go to work for them.

Mike I read your hub too, but after 2 years and 366 hubs, did you not suspect something was wrong before? You say you are an affiliate marketer yet you never wondered why you had no sales?
I find that a bit odd when we regularly have newbies on the forums asking about how it all works, and loads have posted inside the past couple of years about their Amazon successes here.
And you never wondered why until recently?

The first thing I'd have done if, after writing Amazon sales hubs, and I see you have some, would have been to check that my code was inserted properly.

You have a point in that I fail to see why Amazon cannot track the wrong number you put in, then again, if the number doesn't exist....! There is nothing they can do.

Amazon is a miniscule amount of income for what I do over all.  A few hundred a month is a lot to most hubbers, but it's chump change over all.  But it's still my chump change.  And you find out what a business is like when you have a problem.  Anyone can take your money.

Real relationships are built on trust and built over time.  Amazon has proven they can not be trusted.

I manage over 100 Affiliate relationships across more sites than you would care to know.

And I have Amazon on other sites so I was getting paid for those other sites.  I do not have Amazon on all of these hubs, and Hubpages takes 40% of the impressions.  As a 3rd party I can not track things that happen on hubpages as well as I would like too.

I know a lot of you spend a lot of time here writing and tweaking hubs.  I actually do not.  I don't spend much time writing here either.  In any given week when I'm working full on I could easily write 100 articles and more for my other hubs.  That's why a lot of my HubPages stuff has typos, poor grammar, and doesn't always read so great.  It's not that I don't care about the quality, it's that it's not worth the time to go back and try and make everything perfect because there is no benefit to doing so. The Internet doesn't penalize poor writing, in fact it often rewards it.

How many accounts do you manage and do you make over $100K a year?

So while this is a small amount over all... I still deserve to be paid for my work.

If you put the correct code into your account in the first place then you would have been paid for your work"
when you dial a wrong number on your phone dont expect to get the person you were trying to call in the first place.
