What happens if LSU loses to Arkansas

   I love the Thanksgiving holiday with tasty food and football.  This Friday afternoon will have one big game in college football.  If Arkansas can beat LSU that will create a three way tie in the SEC division, but it seems like chaos will breakout for the fight to be in the national championship game....I kind of hope it happens - Maybe this will finally bring us a playoff system!

      If Arkansas beats LSU, then it's relatively simple; Arkansas vs. Alabama in the BCS title game.  But that's IF the season were to end there.  If LSU loses to Arkansas, then it's a three-way tie in the West and the tiebreaker would be the team highest in the BCS, which COULD leave LSU on the outside looking in after being number One all season long just about.   Then, having said that, Alabama and Georgia would be in the SEC title game then Georgia could REALLY mess things up by beating Alabama, which would then leave a BCS title game of .... Arkansas and LSU.
      
      Forget Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Boise State and Stanford.  Their strength of schedule can't match any of the Big 3 in the SEC West.  Oklahoma would have had an argument had they not lost to Baylor.  Oklahoma State's got a shot, but it's slim and I don't think they beat Oklahoma at the end of the season.  Stanford?  Please.  They've been begging to lose all season long and Oregon revealed them.
      
      The only thing I know is that there will be an SEC team in the BCS title game.  We'll know better after this weekend who it will be.

            You're right.  It's why that really, no one outside of Oklahoma State has even a REMOTE possibility to play in the title game.

      If this were to happen, I know many people back home in Arkansas who will be ecstatic... However, I don't see it happening. Arkansas' a good team, don't get me wrong, but I just really don't see this happening.

   I think theres a better chance of a basketball season then lsu getting beat by arkansas. This year does prove we need a playoff or bracket system.

   Then Arkansas should be in the National Championship Game. When Arkansas lost to Alabama (at Alabama), we were without 3 top defensive players and still looking for a running back after losing our Heisman watch running back before the season before the first game of the season.
   Arkansas finally got a healthy running back, back in the fold and now the Hogs are rolling. Arkansas has won 3 out of last 4 against LSU. This is becoming a great game each year.
   
   But...knowing the "political Poll voters",if Arkansas wins over LSU, then Alabama will be given the SEC West Title and the SEC Championship Game to play for the National Championship spot. Arkansas would not be allowed to play Alabama in the Championship Game, even though they have earned it.
   
   I would think that if Oklahooma State can beat Oklahoma that they would play in the BCS Chcampionship Game.
   
   Now...if Georgia upsets the SEC West team in the title game of the SEC, then a big mess will occur! This could allow Arkansas to get into the Championship Game if they beat LSU.

   georgia always plays lsu hard and its usally a close game. It wouldnt be an upset besides we should be 8th not 13th

   Don't assume Arkansas doesn't have a chance against LSU. Our special teams are terrific, our defense has improved leaps and bounds and our offense can score anytime from anywhere, has achieved decent run/pass balance. LSU will have to score a few more points than they did against Bama to win. The mood among the players seems to be to go out and get it after the tragic death of Garrett Uekman. Will be an interesting game. And I have to be at work!
   
   Yes UGA should be in the TOP 10. At this point I think they are much better than South Carolina.

   Much as I'd like to see that happen, not sure it will.
   Still no matter what, Alabama should not be in the National Championship game.  They had their shot.  At home even.
