I published my first hub yesterday. Today I received a message from hubpages saying that "The quality of this Hub does not live up to HubPages' standards. It may be empty or unfinished, poorly formatted (including having a disallowed capsule in the first full width position), contain broken links or videos, low quality photos or videos, or grammar or spelling mistakes that interfere with the readability of the Hub. These factors diminish the value of this Hub to our community. Revise it and submit it for publication again".

Can somebody clarify the reason "it may be empty and poorly formatted" ? I haven't used any disallowed capsule also.

Possibly a lack of information or not enough text on the subject, or paragraphs of unusual length without breaks between every few sentences.  I cannot see your hub so this is only a guess on my part.  Check out the HubPages learning center for more information for what is required.  smile

Is it possible that you an empty capsule at the top of your hub?.. or an Amazon or ebay capsule which is not allowed... Go to the edit mode and clear it out if it is there... also edit out empty spaces and make sure that your hub is at least 400 words long...
As Randy says we are unable to see your hub and may not be in a position to say exactly what is the problem with it.

Thanks Randy and sofs for the immediate response. My hub was 511 words long. Should we have to use a separate text capsule for each sub-paragraph? I had added a single text capsule which contained 3 or 4 sub-paragraphs. I've not included any ebay or amazon capsule as it was my first hub.

With great expectation, I joined hubpages. The message makes me a little frustrated.

No, you don't have to add a separate capsule for each sub paragraph.  Leave a space between several of the sentences to break up whole segments of text so it is easier on the eyes.  Add a few photos if you can and try to make the hub cover the subject thoroughly.  Sorry we cannot be of more help with the hub unpublished.  Don't give up, it will get easier to understand after a bit. smile

Randy is right ..don't give up...I have been there ..it just takes a little getting used to,..
If you have the whole hub in one text capsule spit them into different text capsules so your photos could be aligned with the text... Use  heading2 for any sub capsule, to add interest ad importance to your keywords..
Welcome to Hubpages, this is the best place to learn and grow smile

Thanks a lot for the guidance and encouragement. I'll revise the hub as per your suggestions and try again.
Thanks once again for the warm welcome on hubpages.
