My vital statistics:
5 weeks as a Hubber
1775 page views
62 hubs
31 fans
My busiest Hub Page has 257 page views, my next busiest has 123.
Am I doing good/well? I dunno.
Are you having a good time? Are you enjoying yourself? Are you pleased with the hubs you have produced? If yes, then you are doing great!!
With all due respect, this isn't rec soccer.
If it's only supposed to be fun, I've missed the point.
There are hubbers here for the love of writing and there are hubbers here to make money. And, of course, many that fall in between the two. I am here to make money while writing about things I enjoy. So, no, you have not missed the point. Your stats did not mention if you are earning $ with your 62 hubs, but from what you have written, I would say you are doing good.
I realize my stats only show 26 hubs over 2 years, but it took me a year to actually get started and Hubpages is not my main focus right now. However, my 26 hubs are on target to earn close to $200 this month. This was due to receiving 5 eBay sign up referrels in addition to ebay sales and adsense.
I am not posting my earnings to boast, but to show that you can make money here and from your posts it seems that is why you are here.
Then I think you missed the point With all do respect
At least for some, HP is for writing for pleasure, not money. In all honesty, I would say you're doing average. Compared to others in your time range.
Whether or not your making money, I don't know. If you are with those numbers, then yeah, I'd say you're doing good.
I base my success on other things.
I think you are missing the point. While you definitely can make some money on HP, its main feature is the community
Why does the community aspect have to hold more weight than the financial aspect of the site? Why can't they work equally for those here for the purpose of earning an income?
Don't get me wrong, the community here is terrific and it makes me want to be here. However, as much as I love to chat and socialize, if I wasn't making money, I would have to spend my time elsewhere. Between my kids, family, my other sites and life, I only have so many hours in a day. These hours have to spent wisely.
I don't think the OP is missing the point, he may just have a different goal than someone else. Which I think is fine.
Umm, well, yeah, of course everybody has their own reason to be here, and not only one - I was a bit too categorical
Still, there are a plenty of sites that more or less let you make some money, yet no one has such a community as HP
I agree HP has the best community members I have ever come across. However I seem to spend most of my time on the forum and checking out my fans hubs rather than writing my own hubs. The reading part is most definitely addictive. I love to write but I also love to read. this is why i like the forum and fans hubs.
What's in it for me? People usually ask.
Is it for fame and fortune? People usually say it's about fortune. I'd say it's about both.
I make lots of money while I take part in the life of the community, but not a penny comes from hp or google. I'm actually working.
And not spending but investing.
Here are my stats:
3 days
1 hubs (scores 73)
379 page views
Seems a little low for the amount of hubs you have. This is my seventh day now and I have made 3 hubs and have 574 total views. What is good, To be honest I thought my views where low but now you shown us yours I feel much better. Remember only ever use unique content, and you should get a lot more hits. or it may be that your subject is not in high demand.
Hope this helps
I think your going well. Your hubs are great and I think you learn quickly.

I know a lot of you are curious about how the niche sites are doing. Recently, 21 of my articles were moved over. Some were edited, some were not. Most did not have ads, but of the ones that did, some were left in place, others were converted to in text links to products.I've been...

I've seen some hubbers with over 90 score, but their hubs only score 60+ each. Others have high scoring hubs but lower profile scores. So I'm ignoring scores for now alltogether as I'm new.But what kind of traffic is "good" for a new hub - say within 1 week, 2 weeks and one...

I know this is a topic some people may not want to talk about, but for those who do: what do you earn on Hubpages? As a new member, I am curious as to what people are making on here and how long it took to begin making some money. I know people say "wait for months" to see...

Is it rude to point out grammar/spelling mistakes on hubs via comments?I've come across numerous hubs that have grammar and spelling errors, some minor and some littered with mistakes. Otherwise, these hubs would be interesting and will written in my opinion. Is it rude to point out these mistakes...
