I haven't smoked in 13 days. This is the hardest thing I've ever done.

hey!  that's really great!  congrats!  I've done it, been smoke free for 5 months now and its grand!  I had cut back considerably, but I had never ever completely stopped before.  You know feeling good is the main reward, after a month you feel so much better and so that makes it so much easier.  Stick with it, you'll be totally glad you did.  I applaud you!

It's good to hear that from someone who's been through it. Some days, it just feels like the next day will be when I pick it up again. I'll stick with it though!

I personally do not make them. I really don't like to get caught up in that type of thing as I think it adds more stress to my life than necessary. That said, it's awesome to hear that you two have done well with yours! smile

I just made two New Years resolutions.  One is to lose weight and the other was to write one hub a month.  So far, I'm doing okay.

Have you ever checked out livestrong.com? I use it often when I'm watching my calories. They have this thing called MyPlate where you set your caloric intake goal, and you can search literally anything and they do all of the math for you so it makes counting calories super easy. You can also log your fitness and it removes the calories burned from your calorie total.

As for New Years resolutions, I'm usually pretty good about keeping up with them, but that's because I set mine to be really simple haha. Last year I was going to be graduating college that spring, so my new years resolution was to get a job in my field. This year I want to add 3,000 to my savings (doesn't sound like much but at an entry level with loans to pay off it's a reasonable goal for me), and try to be more conscious of what I eat and spend.
