         It was at least 10, as I've got that many sitting unpublished. But, then I took a nap, and now it's dinner time. Ahhhh!

      I wouldn't recommend publishing all of them in one day they won't index correctly and your hubscore can be effected. One or two a day is fine but 10 will effect everything you are trying to accomplish.

         Thank you! LOL, I am such a slow publisher, I guess it's not something that I of all people need to worry about, but I did happen to get two finished today. I think I'll wait until tomorrow to publish the second one. Still, it's great info for any hubber to have, so thank you.

            Slow and easy is best and sharing is what I enjoy doing. The longer you let it percolate the higher the hubscore becomes. If you see it drop or almost bottom out, it is time to tweak the title and let it rise again for publication. When the score is over 65 it manages to avoid the hopper and God only knows how that happens. lolo!

   There is some thought by those of us who have been in the sandbox. or still there. that a large number of new hubs on a single sub domain can get the google bots very disorientated and can lead to a period in the sandbox. I generally publish as I go along but always have one or two sitting and waiting for perfection ( sometimes they wait for some time!)

   I usually aim to write one a day but it doesn't always happen and I do one at a time so I make sure they get finished

   How many is too many in one day or at one time? I imagine there is no certain answer to that question, as it is just trends that people have picked up on, but I'm just wondering if anyone has an idea of how many hubs published in one day is too many.

   I completed two 30/30 challenges, and I know I can easily write 1-2 Hubs a day.  But now, I write a Hub once a week.  If I want to write more, I will.  I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but my Hubscore will drop after I publish an article, and after a few days, it will climb back into the 90s.  I don't believe there is a limit to how much you can publish each day.  Not that I get anal about some Hubscore, but that's what I have observed in the 8 months I've been here.  I won't do another 30/30 because I got my answer:  I can write a Hub a day.  But I don't like the idea of flooding my followers' email with my numerous articles.  I should at least give them room to breathe, so I do.  My schedule of publishing as I go forces me to do things other than follow this addiction to HubPages.  If I give my full attention to HubPages, nothing else gets done!

   Thanks, Arlene. Did your traffic take a hit when you published 30 hubs in 30 days? Or does Google frown upon several hubs in one day? Or maybe Google doesn't like MANY, say 10 or more hubs in one day? Anyone have a feel for that?

   SmartAndFun, there are people here on HubPages that are great about keeping their Hubs updated.  I am far from that, and this includes pushing my Hubs elsewhere.  I started out as a reporter in the 70s, so when I wrote something, I understood it would be hacked up by a copywriter or an editor.  And after publication, my work would be lining someone's birdcage.  I'm stuck in the 70s, but this is not a bad thing.  Whenever I write a Hub, I forget about it unless it's seasonal.  I don't bow to the Google gods, but I do feel that overkill is overkill.  When I look at the way I manage my feed and my followers, if I find too many articles and "sharing" by the same people, I will hide them.  But that's me.  I like reading the work of new Hubbers, and I do hope the talented ones will experience growth and stick around.  And I do have followers, and I feel I owe it to them to quit clogging their email with subjects they probably don't want to read.  As for the articles written during the 30/30?  I found that if I wasn't willing to improve my writing by editing and adding things like videos and polls, I received "hits" just as long as I kept writing the new stuff and giving them time to grow.  Which, I don't mind doing.  I'm not in this for the sake of making money.  If I wanted money, I would be better off at the McDonald's, working the counter.  Also, being retired, I don't want to pay taxes or get knocked into another tax bracket.  Unlike a lot of writers who need the money to support themselves and their families, I don't need the extra income because I am retired.  I do have a pension as a "reward" from all of those hated jobs and horrible people I had to work for or with.  Which is probably why I can now write like crazy if I wanted to.  I have come to a point in my life where I'm content to do as I please.  People actually do 100 Hubs in 30 Days.  To me, that is way too many articles to publish each day (3?).  If I took on that type of a challenge, my husband and my dogs would leave me.

   Hahaha!  Yes, there is hope, AEvans!  I did unpublish a lot of Hubs on New Year's because I could not stand them.  At the same time, you might say I brought some very dead ones back to life.  Quite an experience, I must say!  But it works as long as you have the patience and are willing to make an effort.  I found out that I can improve my dying Hubs if I set aside the time to work on them.  Once you hack, edit and add something of interest to the reader, no telling what will happen.

      Working on the old can be just as grueling as handling the new, I have been working on old ones too. Tweaking titles, checking keywords, etc. But I have seen some rise to the top! Work, work, work! lolo!
