Has anyone earned anything from the HubPages Traffic Referral Program so far, how to check the earnings from the same??
As far as I can tell, there isn't a way to see this in the information that is available to us, although I vaguely remember someone saying they might have found a way on Google Analytics by using their referral code.
I'm curious about this as well. I asked the question regarding new sign up users that we refer to HubPages. The answer was they had no answer how to track that revenue either.
I send out a lot of links to other people's hubs. Some of those views should earn me a few cents too. But how to find out how much? Unknown.
Hubpages should provide an option for the same, so that we can check our participation status in Traffic Referral Program. This will help us in improving the same as well.
Newbies won't earn you much - and more experienced writers probably prefer that you're not aware of how well they are/aren't doing. Too much information provided by Hubpages would be seen as a privacy violation by many hubbers.
You can check out where Adsense earnings are coming from by logging into your Adsense Account clicking on Performance Reports {At the top} and then Sites {on the left}.
You're unlikely to earn much from referrals anyway. Generally CTR (click through rate) is about 1-5% of visitors and YOU only get 10% of impressions on referral's hubs.
I have hundreds of referrals and probably less than 10% have ever written a single hub, let alone made me more than an occasional dollar.
Hii WryLilt, its not about the Referral Program am asking. Which apparently allows hubbers to generate ongoing revenue when they refer new writers to HubPages.
But, am asking about the Traffic Referral Program in HubPages... If you send traffic to any Hub, you’re entitled to either 9% or 12% of total impressions. You’ll receive 9% if the Hub you’ve referred people to already has impressions allocated to an Affiliate. If there is no Affiliate, you’ll receive 12% of the total impressions.
Ah I'm with you. The same answer still applies. You can still see on Adsense what other subdomains are displaying your adverts - if that person is not a referral, you can assume it's from a link.
If you use a unique tracker for a link, you can see how many clicks the link is getting in your referral summary.
Analytics will show what hub produced a click - if it doesn't belong to you the "Ah Hah!" light should come on. Could be wrong, but I'd bet it would also show a graph over time of the same thing for that hub - it certainly will for general traffic for that hub when it has your code on it.
Ah I didn't realise this - but I don't dig around in HP analytics much either.
Although for the OP - your Adsense/Analytics would need to be connected to do this.
It shows page impressions, not ad impressions from a third party, such as HPads.
It shows adsense clicks, but then adsense is also a part of google and they have all the information needed to provide that.
Personally, I don't need details. It I could just see how much money I am earning from referrals as a total per day, I would be happy with that. Anything is better than nothing.

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

HP ads are running on my hubs since one week. My earnings through the program are pretty low, may be because of lower traffic I am getting. My hubs were making couple of dollars before signing up with HP ads. Now from past one week my hubs earned nothing from adsesne.I am just thinking whether I...

Has anyone had great success with the URL Tracker and referrals? I just read what it was about and seems like a great way to provide incentive for other hubbers to promote other user's content. Does anyone use this strategy to make a lot of money?

Pretty frustrating when I get a significant traffic spike only to see CPM values plummet. My Google Analytics stay steady for the most part as far as page time, bounce rate and things of that nature. Why does this always happen?
