Hi all,
I am very new to the hubbing game in fact have only been a member 3 days, I really love writing however have never really done anything like this! Please take a look at some of my hubs and advise, please be gentle ;-) Only kidding i appreciate all the input.
Thanks in advance
I like what I saw - I even made a comment. You should respond to comments made on your hubs as it should create a buzz and make other hubbers curious. And the more you appear in Hubtivity the more that your hubs will get noticed. Also, try to read and comment on other people's hubs as they normally return the favor
Btw, welcome to HubPages
Welcome, I checked you out & commented. You're off to a great start - you already have the same amount of hubs as me (I better get crackin')
Cris A's advice is spot-on as you will find is usually the case.
Personally, I'd like to see a little info in your profile about you - even if its nonsense - it makes a hubber seem more real, but that's just me.
Hope you enjoy HP as much as I do!!!
Firstly thanks to you both, I will start to comment on other hubs and get more actively involved in the community.
Chris A Thanks for the advice on comments has been taken on board and i will make sure that I respond to people.
Roobee I will add a little blurb about me, I think you need to put a bit of you here so i will update that soon.
Thanks both for the support, I think i will really enjoy being part of HP.
Thanks
Cris and RooBee were right, you're doing great and you seem to have followed their advice. HP is a great place to stretch your writing wings
I'm sure you will love it here as much as we all do....WELCOME!!
Cheers guys look forward to writing and as your put it stretching my wings, but have to be careful otherwise the cat will eat me
Any other thoughts on style content or layout from any of you experienced writers i am always looking to improve
I have only read your "Children Novels" Hub and see you have some run on sentences. It's also much more reader friendly if you space out the big blocks of text.
Much like this.
I'm a Brand-new Hubber -fresh out of the oven- and correct me if i'm wrong, but i think it may confuse some of your non-hubpages audience members when you include passages like:
I was amazed to find that a question 3 month old and this open ended had yet to be answered so I thought what a good topic to do my next hub about and what a tough question it was there were so many great children's books written in 2008, here are my selection.
Again, this sentence is run-on.
Hoped i could help,
Koby
Thanks for that, as I said I am fairly new to the writing game, so this is great information.
I will try and keep things shorter and snappier and avoid blending sentences together. Now that I re-read that section, bearing what you have said in mind, I can see that it all bleeds together into nothing.
Thanks again
Thank you very much Gotta a few more in the pipeline but the experiments are not nearly as much fun

I am not looking to name names here as this happens quite a lot on Hubpages, but can someone please clarify whether or not it is against the rules for a Hubber to come to your hub, leave a comment and then include a link to one of their own hubs as a part of that comment. I know it says under each...

There are two newly discovered hubbers who have only posted raw translations by using online translating tool, what they did was merely copy and paste the results without doing any further modifications. From the comments they replied, you can tell they don't really understand much English. Even...

I am still new to Hubpages and have been enjoying a rather successful start. Thank you to those who have voted my articles up and those few of you who have begun to follow me. But I have noticed one thing of late and maybe it is the way it goes but I think it is disrespectful. I have commented on a...

Do you think it is important to comment on a hub if you have read it?I've read that some hubber's read hubs but do not leave comments. On person said be assured I read your hubs even when I don't comment. I don't get it. I think it is courtesy to comment if you read someone's...

How do you react to hubs with comments disabled? As a hub reader, how important is it to you to be able to comment? Does it frustrate you when you are not allowed to comment on a hub? Will you still vote on that hub? Will you follow an author who disables comments? I wonder if disabling comments...

so how do you feel about people who write hubs accept the comments and don't reply to them? I find myself doing that about 80% of the time because I run out of things to reply. also because I am a bit lazy. also because I wonder if you comment how you would know whether I reply or...
