Should the Rules for for asking questions be ammened?

   Should the rules for asking or answering questions be ammended because they are now being hosted on our subdomains? Someone asked a question which was generating a discussion(in my opinion) and I suggested the person remove the question before staff sees it. Someone suggested and implied that the question is now hosted on the person's subdomain so it did matter or that the rules would not apply.
   
   Have the rules changed concerning hosted questions and if not should they be?

      We should have the power to delete questions we think breach TOS, since they're on our sub-domain.

   Seems to me that any non-tacky question that generates answers is a good thing. Outside visitors like that, therefor google would like that, therefor adsense would like that, therefor money to be made, therefor total win-win, therefor everybody happy.

      Define non-tacky? I have seen some on Webanswers that generate plenty of answers but no traffic.

   Doesn't HP state that a question that generates a discussion is violating their TOS? and that discussions should be limited to the forums?
   
   Of course a question that gets a lot of answers is great but so long as people come back to post or the person asking the question return to post it is a discussion.

      I've had questions removed by moderators for being 'discussional' and will be reviewing all my questions! The best thing is to flag them and let Hubpages decide!

   I think HP should have only 2 rules.
   
   A. Does the question violate TOS re: drugs, violence, gambling, etc.?
   
   If doesn't violate TOS, then:
   
   B. Does the question generate or have the potential to generate outside traffic?
   
   If yes, then:
   
   Leave the critter alone.
   
   If no, then:
   
   Moderate it with explanation so that question can be rewritten with better potential.

   The rules on asking questions have been amended.  There's now a pop-up that runs down the new guidelines when you go to ask a question.

         I think she means the text at right that disappears when you click outside the question box.

   There is nothing there about having a discussion in the question and answer area. I now assume that HP is allowing that. It disappeared quite quickly too.
