ooops! picked the wrong word...or did they?
http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/ins … socialism/
Really? You can't come up with something substantive to complain about? There are plenty of real things Obama has done that are actually bad. How about we focus on those things rather than pretend that his chosen slogan proves he's a closet socialist menace bent on destroying the country, making you get gay-married, and curdling the milk in the fridge.
What has he done that's actually bad besides beat McCain and his dingbat running mate, Palin?
This is a question I would LOVE answered. He's the worst thing, dangerous, out to destroy America....how exactly?
Well, it's nice to hear that us socialists own something, even if it is only a word!
But do we really believe Apple, Chrysler, Forward Ladies Business Networking, all video, CD and DVD players and everything else that's ever been described as forward are all socialist?
Seriously? Forward? A single word used by dozens of movements, if the next slogan is "from each according to ability to each according to need" I will concede the point, as it is no...
I remember the Catholic slogan during the Middle ages was "Forward in Faith" obviously the catholic church is Marxist and was Marxist long before Marx was born and this is a Marxist organisation: http://www.forwardinfaith.com/
he kept the patriot act intact, NDAA and now how about making free speech a felony....?
that bad enough for you?
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=7S … ;vq=medium
"how about making free speech a felony....?"
This is a bad law, and I agree with you that it was one of the worst things Obama has done as President, if not the worst.
But it hardly "makes free speech a felony." How about we talk about the actual law and what it actually does (which is bad enough) rather than your paranoid fantasy (which is shrill hyperbole not worth taking seriously).
Bad enough for you. So you want to replace him with a guy who makes a fertilized egg take precedent over a female human being...
No one holds the keys to paradise...we all have to pick our fights.
Obama 2012.
....and let me know when these things you don't like affect you.....so far, all I see hurt by speaking their minds are Occupy protestors.
and HOPEFULLY, the NDAA goes after the enemies within. Cause there are LOTS of them.
"H.R. 347, said Mahassey, is simply a DC-centric update of already existing law. Section 1752 of title 18, United States Code, already protects those under Secret Service protection — except in Washington D.C. where these protections fall under local laws against trespassing, etc. Mahassey said that the Secret Service requested the changes to this law because "right now it’s not a federal violation to jump the fence and run across the White House lawn, this bill makes it a federal violation.”
And in light of the Gifford's shooting...and the white powder mailings....and reps being threatened...I'd say they have a point.
And by they I mean the R's in the House...who wrote it for Obama to sign! Did you forget about them?
LMC, the new law doesn't merely extend the code to protect those under Secret Service protection in D.C. It is an overly broad, nationwide law that can put you in jail for showing up at a political rally with a protest sign.
Bad legislation, and the President should not have signed it.
"The new legislation allows prosecutors to charge anyone who enters a building without permission or with the intent to disrupt a government function with a federal offense if Secret Service is on the scene"
If secret service is on the scene.
This does not cover just any protest does it?
Because---I don't think secret service is on Wall Street--these guys aren't members of the gvt...and people are being arrested, beat up and brutalized there....are they using this law to justify that?
