    Hey hubbers,

As you can see where I posted this thread. And, my question for you is what do you know about "Wisdom" and "Truth"?

How do you see these two things?

Are these two things that same thing?

I am looking for those who are willing to express themselves with their own thoughts and not the thoughts of others.

So, having said that, use your own brain for what it's worth.

Interesting question Cagsil, what do I know about wisdom and truth?
My thoughts, wisdom is obtained through living life and learning from not only the everyday lessons from our individual experiences, so to the past. After all, history not learned from is destined to repeat itself. Subsequently wisdom serves to make us comfortable with our vision of truth.
As for what do I know about truth? Confounding thing is truth, the things which support one person’s view of truth is another’s reason to find fault.
I suppose, Truth like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
      What say you?

My first though is, No they are not the same. Wisdom is the ability to discern the truth.
King Solomon was said to be wise. He showed this in the story about the two mothers who claimed the same infant as their own.

Wisdom could be viewed as a metaphor for Truth?

I thought a metaphor was using things that are not alike and finding a certain quality that is similar in both of them. "Love is like a Butterfly", or Life is Like a box of chocolates",for example.
Might depend upon how it is used specifically.

Actually I think if you use  'like' it is a simile.  Love is a warm puppy would be more metaphorical.
