I had this thought in my mind every now and then. I also spoke with someone who had fear of death all her life and looking for ghost and hasn't found one. He is now 70 and I can see fear on his eyes.
Read too many debates about afterlife and to be honest, I have not seen nor heard one apart from discussions and deductions...theory after analogy.
I just live my life thinking that if afterlife is real, then so be it.
Does anyone knew of actual evidence that afterlife is real?
I can't see anything other than what I was raised in believing. I am a born again christian and have studied for myself some things that lead me to believe that there is an afterlife. Not because of what I was told but just because of personal spiritual confirmations that I sought out and prayed about. But when I think about it why would we all have this sense of some kind of inner self that never seems to be satisfied. I mean from what I've read the Bible clearly verifies that there is an afterlife. I guess the only reason why I believe what the bible says is because I have not found no evidence of any other religions that believe in a god none of them has actually claimed to have been raised from the dead other than Jesus Christ who promises an eternal life after death to those who believe. This is my belief but respect that everyone has different beliefs and religions that they are entitled too. I would suggest that you study different religions and decide for yourself and compare, simply because what may be right for me may not be right for you. It's a personal journey between you and what you chose to believe in. Hope was helpful and hope you are able to seek out different theories and be open minded, especially because of the fact that you ask this question tells me that you want to know and you want answer. Great question. Monica
There is no evidence of an afterlife. The experiences of people who have had near-death experiences are fairly well-explained by science.
The problem in asking this question is that for believers, it is nearly impossible to answer in an unbiased fashion. Believers have a vested interest in there being an afterlife. It is better to ask this question of someone who does not already have that belief. Only in that way can the evidence be evaluated objectively.
If there is an Afterlife, there is no reason to fear death.
But as humans we do fear death (most of us). Which makes one wonder, is there really an afterlife...
There is no concrete proof of an afterlife...there is speculation, faith and hopes...but that is about it...
