   After reading the racist violence mongering by Bill O'Reilly concerning Michelle Obama I would like to compile here some suggestions as to appropriate recourse. Should we boycott his network and sponsors?  This comes on the heels of the Secret Service suspiciously suspending her husband's security and mere months after his bigoted remarks about dining at Sylvia's.
   Let me know what you think.

      Wow this is seriously your best attempt at finding dirt on O'Reilly? Seriously? He's defending Michelle Obama... quite emphatically actually. In fact, hes saying that other people are engaging in a metaphoric lynching party against her.

      I agree. I only watch Fox during commercials on the other channels or just to see what their propaganda line of the day is. However, with exceptions the other networks are almost as bad.

   I think anyone with any common sense would have boycotted (i.e. not bother to watch) O'Reilly long ago. If you're under 80 and have had at least one bowel movement over the past year, you're not his target audience anyway.
   
   I wish people would just ignore him; the outrage only helps him.
   
   Just try a different network. Fox News doesn't really report the news anymore anyway; it just peddles lazy opinion.

   O'Reilly holds the record for being named the worst person in the world. He must have gotten the award close to 100 times. There are actually one or two right winge TV commentators that I like even less than Bill--e.g., CNN's Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs and Nancy Grace. Nancy Grace is just a vindictive, nasty person. She may also be a right winger. Lou Dobbs has been attacking undocumented immigrants for two or three years now. Beck is an ignorant but strident right-winger.

   Mr. Hollis, you are so funny! I can't stop laughing, oh yea...Bill has been the worst person because the hater giving the award gets his butt kicked week in and week out. I'd be bitter if my show was just, well really bad.
   But I agree, lets boycott Fox News, because its the only place to get real information, lol, Mr. Hollis you are a very talented performer.

   Nope, the rest are just talking heads for the left, mouth pieces if you will. I know, you think I’m nuts so commence with the name calling, that’s the game plan. I’ve been around for a while now, it’s not about debate or ideas, it’s about everybody agreeing with the radicals that want to destroy democracy and freedom. And before you start screaming, no, I don’t think President Bush is doing a good job, he blew it on Iraq, which in turn negatively affects most everything else. No I don’t believe he’s the devil, or a criminal, just as I don’t believe Senator Obama is a Muslim or the Anti-Christ. I also don’t believe you need to throw the baby out with the bath water. A bad president doesn’t make a bad system. Democracy and the Constitution are still the way this country should work. Small government, states’ rights, and individual freedoms, taxes should not be increased; illegal immigration should be stopped dead. No, we should not deport eighteen million people, but we should deport all convicted felons, or any illegal that has committed a crime in America or Mexico. We should secure the boarder and it should be with a real, big solid fence. We should be increasing the size of military spending and increasing the size of our professional standing army because there are real dangerous people, lots of them, who want to kill you, me, and all our children. I’m not even going to comment on the social issues that the left has wrong because this is a political discussion, and I believe most social concerns should be decided by the states and the Federal Government should keep their sticky fingers out. That includes any profit regulation on private industry which is just downright socialism. I also believe we should be taking care of ourselves from a energy stand point, we can and should use our own resources, which we can easily do without adversely effecting the environment and this would buy us time to invent a better more efficient energy source. Of course we should have already done so, but the left pulled the plug on nuclear years ago, there is now, no safer, cleaner form of energy available today, yes the left did that.
   Sorry about the rant, but it’s the same old same, thought I would cut through the junk. See ya.

      [Well  first you need to deport the president cause he's a felon, a charge later reduced and then dropped. Now how does a person get on ballot after that? It proves that it's all fixed. They don't have my best interest for sure! Then they come out and let me know they really hate anyone that looks like me. Now being right or left, I believe in some ideals of both. But "they" as usual try and tell me to be one way or another. Just like America. Then go and do the opposite.

    I've just chanced upon this Hub, and it seems what all the Americans are talking about that I know in Paris is true Fox News is not true news, but sensationalist banter to sell advertising. And sadly it works cos everyone is talking about it. "There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about" GB Shaw. Well he may quiet down when Obama is the next president of the USA, and Michelle will have the last laugh.

       You know, for a time, the Third Reich pulled that off, as did the Romans, Greek historians, most religions, etc.
       
       
       History aside, after watching Fox and Al  Jazeera, I see great similarities. They say in politics if you go far enough right you end up left, and vice versa. These two networks have an agenda. There's nothing amazing about this.
       
       What I am slightly amazed (better put - annoyed) by is that people outside the right-wing watch or pay attention to what's on Fox News. It's like caring about Limbaugh or Franken. Their power derives from the reactions of viewers/listeners. Ignore them and, thanks to capitalism, they fade away.

          I choose to listen to BBC radio broadcasts if I want to hear world news. Then I listen to the other world news radio stations from a wide variety of countries. That way between all the world viewpoints I can arrive at something that approximates the truth of any important event. Lol.
          
          (Having moved to North America as an adult I find all the supposed 'news' stations here to be
          substandard, celebrity worshiping propaganda.)
          
          It is good for a laugh though.

             Right on. There's a network on DirecTV (I don't know about Dish) called Link. It has a segment called "News from around the World" or something similar. It's nice to see. Being an American citizen, I keep my XM tuned to the POTUS channel. Politics & religion - my two great loves ... and the last two entities in which I would ever involve myself.

    I'm sorry.. I should have responded to the subject of this hub.  All I can say to that .. is .. my goodness.. people....LIGHTEN UP.  How many times have any of you said to you own CHILDREN..... "... OH.. I could just K..... YOU."????  Be honest now.

    Bill O'Reilly's Racism, hmm..... the words racist or bigot are used too often, without a basis in fact, merely to discredit another individual because of a difference in opinion.  There are a few people on this thread who actually watch Fox News who have a different opinion of Bill O'reilly. Since I seldom watch his program & did not watch the program in question I cannot comment on whether his comments were racist or not.   I can say he has strong opinions some I agree with, some I don't. That doesn't make him racist.   In reference to Michelle Obama, I have found several of her comments offensive.  I've found several of Hillary Clinton & John McCain's comments offensive as well. Does that make them or me racist?   In my opinion this election year is like watching a re-run of  "The Three Stooges" or "Little Rascals"....... not something I enjoy watching.  There are issues that need to be dealt with for the future of our country.  Let's move on from petty name calling and get to the facts.
