Today I am finding difficulty in importing picture from Wikimedia Commons. I am unable to import any picture. What could be the reason. Kindly help.
It's possible the site does not allow people to hotlink their images.
Sorry, I failed to understand what you do mean by 'hotlink'. I regularly import images from the mentioned site so what happened today. Thanks in advance.
Wikimedia has allowed me to import from their site, using their url in the past. If that is not working you can try clearing your browser cache, then trying to use the images again.
If that fails, simply copy to a file on your computer and upload from your computer to your photos here or directly to your hub. I have found it is faster to upload photos to "photos" then insert them into your hub from the HubPages server.
Thanks a lot for explaining in details. Yesterday, I did the same after successive failure of the import button. I regularly import it so I got completely confused and had put up the question. Thanks again.
What exactly to you mean by Import? Do you insert yhe url fo the image, or do you download it to you own computer first?

Many of you have noticed that images have been importing a bit oddly- they came in with gray strips at the bottom that look rather unsightly.I am now happy to say that the problem is fixed, so you can import photos stress-free! If some of the images you included in Hubs were messed up by this bug,...

We just rolled out a few changes to the site. Most of the updates were minor, the big change was the addition of the table capsule. As the name suggests, it allows you to display tables of information in your hubs. You can construct them by hand or you can import data from a CSV...

When our hubs were once chosen, we had a way to see what was supposed to be fixed before it appeared on a niche site. Now I don't see anything like that. It could be me, but there was a way to see what they wanted added or deleted. It's very frustrating. Yesterday I was told my hub on Zeus, the...
