I'm just starting out my career in writing. I would need some proper walk-through, in terms of how I can get inspiration as well as coming up with some good topics.
And yet your first hub is on how to be a good writer.
I know that. I just don't seem to get inspiration. I would have published more hubs, if I had got some. Perhaps, you could help me out.
Nope, I have the opposite problem. Been writing for nearly three years online and still don't have enough time to put down my ideas. Start with what you know. And take a look at other people's hubs.
Maybe you should go back and read over that first Hub you just wrote, the one you wrote telling people how to see a good writer. Especially the section right after where you say you really have a flair for writing and then talk about brainstorming.
That's right! But is it even possible to have a flair for something without having something that motivates you to do that thing?
What about your discussion of brainstorming? If the techniques you recommend for others to use don't work for you, maybe it's not very good advice...
Inspiration comes to me with a lot of thought at times about what I want to publish, then again, it will jump out at me as I write about daily "things" I encounter in the course of a day. We interact with a ton of "things" daily that could become a hub.
Well, to shamelessly promote a Hub Feature, This might be your best asset. Hub Pages Apprenticeship Program. It is designed to assist new or even seasoned literati in honing their skills. Learn while you Earn.
Also, from experience, read everything on as many subjects as possible. It will not only give you more information on a variety of topics, will also give you better insight to the many approaches of writing styles you could use to publish interesting articles.

Ultimately, the writing is your job and the money you earn is your money. Once you have some things written, people here can tell you how to fine tune it for hubpages.
One thing I would suggest is making sure you are using copyright free illustrations.
Thanks again for your candid advice. Perhaps you could view my first hub and evaluate if I did that.
Come on guys, you don't have to be so hard on a newbie like myself (both in writing and HubPages) trying to make myself a name
The people here who have made names for themselves have taken the time to use the resources provided like HubPages Learning Center or any of the thousands of Hubs that other users have written from their own experiences on what worked for them. All that stuff is actually right in front if you (in topical categories or via the internal search or FAQ) but you have to use those resources.
No one is going to hold your hand and walk you or spoon-feed you all of that because that's your job to do for yourself. How successful you become here is a direct reflection of the effort you put forth.
I made the comment about illustration because you appear to be using photographs from other websites on the same topic--with no indication that you got permission to use them or determined that they were in the public domain. If in doubt use pictures from wikimedia commons, morguefile or some other site that tells you how the photo can be used.
If you want to be a writer, you have to keep writing. You should also read books. No one can tell you an easier way for you to become a better writer, it is all up to you. If you have some writing talent it will get easier. If you don't have the talent, then I would suggest something else.
I get inspiration from TV, from reading newspapers, from my own interest, from talking to people, from browsing the Internet.
There are also lots of sites on the Internet that can help you with grammar if you need it.
From the AP program page,
Unless jukels has a stash of writing stashed elsewhere, it's unlikely he'll be accepted to the program at this time.

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...
