Please help... My students would like to write in HubPages but I hope I will be compensated for referring them here... The old way of inserting referral tracker in a URL no longer works, since the Hubpages' users' URLs had changed...

Remember that you must be at least 18 years old to have an account and write on HubPages.

      Try sending them here -
      https://hubpages.com/user/new/
it should be the 'join' page. Here you can see if they can join or not.

This link no longer works because the author has unpublished the article. I would have liked to read it.

At the bottom of every hub in the grey area, there is a "link to this page",  there will be a url already in place with your tracker inserted.

Every hub, so even if you share someone else's hub, you will get the referral if there is a signup!

Not sure what you mean exactly by "The old way of inserting referral tracker in a URL no longer works, since the Hubpages' users' URLs had changed" but for me its as simple as adding '_TRACKERGOESHERE/' after the .com in the hubpages page that you want to link to.

    As an example...

To send somebody to this actual forum thread you would use the URL: http://hubpages.com/_TRACKERGOESHERE/fo … ost/103424

Don't forget to add the _ at the start of the tracker and the / at the end!

I presume this is a different thing thank the tracker for getting paid by AdSense and HP ad program??

Because I have a question about that:

If I want to put AdSense on my blogs, is it the same tracker number I use here, or do I need a different one for each site?
Also--I can't remember where I find what it is.  sad

I don't know what blogging platform you use, but if it's Blogger or Wordpress with an ad plug-in, all you need is your Adsense account number that looks like pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (forgot how many digits exactly.) Assuming you've had your Adsense account since before Adsense started putting restrictions on people's accounts, you can use the same ID for any site you want to display ads on.  In fact, you're technically not allowed to have more than one Adsense account, so you necessarily have to use the same ID everywhere.

You can find the ID number at the top of the screen when you log in to your Adsense account. Hope that answered your question.
