I know you cannot trust much when there is an asterisk next to your daily "All programs earnings" since there is a note stating that " "incomplete or unaudited earnings, value may change". But wondering how can it happen that the earning amount for the day shows a certain amount and then it considerably lowers a day later taking away a big chunk? Usually, I have noticed the amount increases a little bit as I guess the daily views are calculating, but wondering if this has happened to anybody? For a moment, I was happy 'cause the numbers seemed back to what they were a year ago, before all the panda penguins, pigs and pigeons, but the temporary bliss is over now!
There is no bliss in this game, and a game it is. Best to not put all eggs in one basket.
I've seen my earnings go up and down, over time, also reflected in those "unaudited earnings" messages.
It is what it is.
That is why there is a month in delays of payment. Mine changed this week too, went down about $2 from yesterday to today. It happens to us all.
Is this what you mean? As you can see I don't earn a lot on hubpages but when I see it change like this I have to wonder why? Why not just wait to put up the amounts until all is calculated. Are they taking their share when they do this? Another hubpage mystery to me. I know a dollar isn't much but I don't make much. It's like a restaurant owner taking your tips away.
moonlake, do you mind sharing what you do after you publish a hub to promote it? I know I am jealous of your big bucks (mine are in the cents, not dollars), so I am open to suggestions.
elayne,
Yes, I second that comment. Moonlake, I would definitely like to know as well, lol.
It seemed like a significant drop percentage-wise to me.
That seems to be the norm nowadays though.
I am very discouraged by the drop in traffic since last week. Lately, I've been writing and publishing more hubs, editing and updating old hubs. My earnings increased every month since April, when--suddenly--last week there was a sharp decrease in traffic and daily earnings. It's especially noticeable when my most-read hub, which usually has more than 400 views per day, drops by 100 and stays around that level. This drop began about the same time as the "forced" change to the new profile design. I didn't like it and wouldn't adopt it on my own, so the HP "powers-that-be" changed it for me. I STILL don't like it! But I like even less whatever is decreasing my hub traffic and, therefore, my earnings.
I think they should just wait and publish the amount earned once the final amount is in, not publish a place holder amount, then change it. I had this happen to me today as well (went from .23 for today's earnings to .17. As you can tell I really don't make much so every cent counts. I'm sure it has done this before, I just haven't caught it like today. 6 cents isn't much, but I can only imagine if there's a 6 cent difference on 23 cents how much of a change it would make to people who earn 100 to 1000 times more.
Hi Jaye I just wanted to let you know that my page views have dropped snce last week also, but I had changed my profile page weeks ago so I am not sure it is related. it is frustrating, to say the least!
Yes, it is frustrating (and my traffic is still down); however, if it's also affecting writers who changed profile designs before the mandate, it obviously isn't limited to the "holdouts." The timing of this problem suggests that something about the change(s) triggered a snafu with Google. I'm hoping it's resolved soon.
I just checked my stats again, and the numbers are even lower. This is depressing! I'm not going to look again this evening.
Mine kept going up and now they are about a third of what they had been. I think I should follow your plan and just stop looking!!!
Well, I looked again this morning, and my situation is even worse! I've been reading the forums, and there's a lot of buzz about another Google algorithm change causing the decrease in traffic. I checked to see where my normally-most-read hub is in the Google lineup, and it still shows up in exactly the same place (#8) on the first page. I don't understand why the views for that hub have dropped more than 60%! All of my other hubs are "suffering", too, and many are getting 0 traffic, so that may trigger the dreaded "zzzzzs." I'm very disillusioned today. My earnings had been increasing steadily since April. Now they've plummeted to less than half of my last good month. So your question, "Earning change?" seems to be apt...for me, at least.

Hi fellow writers,Yesterday I recognized that the homepage of HubPages has a new design and in the mid of this I discovered a fellow writer with the most earnings here at HubPages. He's a member since 7 years, has published 55 articles which have been read over 1,000,000 times and he makes over $...

why is it that I am only earning 1cent per day? Is this the standard rate for all ad earning programs? How long does it take to start seeing earnings from google adsense program?

It's disheartening to work so hard only to see your earnings drop to lowest than they've been in a long time. For the past two days, they've been about half what I was earning daily in 2017 and even lower than they were in January! Has this happened to anyone else and will it pick up soon?
