I found out this week that many hubbers are making questions and forums about this. What is the real truth? Please discuss this important matters and help others.

The real truth of the matter?  Hp has not published the exact details of how we are being paid, nor will they.  That would be an open invitation to scammers and gamers the world over to come feed at the open trough of HP, and is very much in line with every other affiliate out there.  We don't know how HP collects its information (except that it comes from third parties) any more than we do Amazon or Adsense.  We don't know what HP might do with that information, any more than we know exactly how google figures the worth or viability of a click.

The Truth?  We know that HP needs complete information to post our stats and they don't always get it in a timely manner, meaning that they can't give it to us when they want to.  We know that hubbers will scream to high heaven, blaming HP for everything under the sun, when those stats are late.

The Truth?  We know that HP, in an attempt to placate the screamers, will post "estimated" numbers.  Whereupon the screamers make even more noise that the estimates (clearly marked as such) are not correct numbers.

And the Final Truth of the matter?  You will never know if HP (or any other affiliate) is cheating you.  They will never publish sufficient information for you to check it yourself.  You must either accept their numbers or leave; if you believe that HP is cheating you, shut the ad program down and use Adsense only.  If you believe Adsense is cheating you, shut it down and use Amazon and/or eBay.  If you're truly paranoid and believe that everyone out there is cheating you, make your hubs non-commercial and do without income from them.

Good point my friend. I will try to advise them as you propose. Indeed a well-explained opinion.

A little strong, perhaps, but I DO get tired of seeing people raise the roof when stats are late, then do it again when HP complies with their request to post estimated figures that they plainly state are not correct and will be modified at a later date.

I also get very tired of seeing posts that strongly insinuate that hubbers are being cheated without one shred of evidence.  We've seen an awful lot of sock puppets lately slamming HP for everything possible, and the general tone of the forums has changed as a result.  My feeling is that if you don't like the place, or feel you've been cheated, then leave!  There is no possible reason to continue on with dozens of sock puppets, trying to hurt everyone here by hurting HP.  At least no rational reason.

Thank you sir. But for me, I am not leaving. I'll take my chances here. Just recently that many are wondered by their CPM.
