   I just read the one where he said Hillary came up to him and told him they were going to find and prosecute whoever made 'the video'...
   
   Some billionaire needs to buy airtime for all the family members, take them to the entrance of the White House, and broadcast on all major networks until they get an answer.
   
   Since then, we've had a debunked 2-week story about this video, we've had a 4-star General relieved of his post of Africom(more than 1 year earlier than normal), we've had a Navy Admiral relieved and under investigations for "undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment", we've had reports that Americans in Benghazi not only requested assistance during the attack, not only requested to assist during the attack, not only designated a target for bombing, but all requests were denied, we've had 2 government agencies deny that they turned down requests, the POTUS avoid answering whether or not there were any requests, and no official denial that there were any requests....
   
   I don't like conspiracy theories, but we haven't gotten a single honest answer about the situation. Whether Obama was wanting to avoid any Libyan casualties this close to an election, or whether the Ambassador was involved with shipping guns to Turkey/Syra... SOMETHING was going on that we haven't been told about.

      I didn't think this was such a huge deal to begin with. I'm not referring to the loss of lives - that's always of huge importance. I mean the possibility of a coverup and the lack of protection for our people. Now, however, I'm not happy about this at all. As more and more info comes out, I'm surprised that many on the left seem totally unconcerned about the discrepancies. If the charges are true, isn't this bigger than Watergate?? How many were killed there? I don't know who's to blame, and I'm still trying to give the POTUS the benefit of the doubt, but something's fishy. Someone seems to have "dropped the ball." I honestly hope I'm proven wrong.

         There have been dozens of experienced military and ex-military people coming out explaining the protocols for a situation like this.
         
         An ambassador is considered a #1 priority, the same as a 4-star general or head of state. Only the POTUS and possibly VPOTUS are given higher priority.
         
         Basically, somebody at the very, very top of the food chain had to say 'no'. There are automatic procedures for these things, somebody had to say 'no'. Heck, not even 'no', they basically had to say 'stop what you're already doing'.
         
         Whoever did will/should face impeachment for dereliction of duty, at the very least.
         
         If this is all true, it's absolutely bigger than Watergate. 7 hours habee. We had a maximum of 7 hours to do some kind of response. Even a supersonic fly-over would probably have some kind of effect.
         
         Another theory I've heard has to do with some trafficked/stolen surface-to-air missiles in Libya, and the government not wanting to risk having to explain how a US aircraft was downed with a US missile.

            It was revealed over a year ago that around 20,000 surface to air missiles went "missing" in Libya, it was also revealed in the Oversight and Government Reform Committee meeting that one of the missions of the CIA there in Libya was to track down and retrieve those missiles.
            
            You said, "I don't like conspiracy theories..." but you sure like to spread them.  80
            
            I feel real bad for that SEAL's father but even he knew that his son could and would be put in a position where his life would be on the line.  He was a hero.  No civilian is privy to military action especially as it is on going and I really doubt that this father was the first parent told contradictory information concerning a military action.
            
            Also, this isn't the first administration to keep a tight lip on covert operations or do you not remember Iran Contra. Do you not remember the crap that went on in Panama with General Noriega in the mid to late 80's.  Ronald Reagan held off going after Noriega to protect George Bush's chances in the 88 election since Bush was heavily involved while he was Director of the CIA and in cohorts with Noriega concerning Contra... oh yea and they dumped the blame on a mere Colonel. 
            
            Covert operations are supposed to be just that because people like you will use any ammunition you can against the opposing party whether it is right for the country or not.

               I'm not spreading conspiracy theories. I'm simply stating possible explanations for the inaction that took place(or didn't take place?). If I were spreading a conspiracy, I would be stating it as fact. Big difference.
               
               Also, this was not a covert operation. This is a situation where we would want to broadcast on the loudspeakers 'We're on our way and you're going to be dead in 20 minutes' with jets flying super-sonic overhead to put the fear of the USofA in their hearts.

                  You misunderstood me... the attack in Benghazi was not the covert mission, the covert mission was in tracking down the missing missiles which was completely blown in that meeting as well as outing some Libyan's that were working with the CIA to recover those weapons.
                  
                  This may seem harsh for me to say but it seems apparent to this administration that the recovery of those weapons and keeping the CIA cover was more important a mission than protecting the embassy.  The CIA had over a year invested in assets there in Benghazi and even though those operatives at the annex were acting heroic, they nevertheless blew their own safe house location and brought the fight back to them.

         I can think of nothing more tragic and frightening than a group of Americans being attacked, begging for help, and being ignored by their own government.  Imagine how they felt those last minutes.  This is a national disgrace.

   Where do you find this stuff? Anything to do with Beck is a joke. And I can understand most parents being upset with any President, if their son or daughter was killed. Especially finding out about your loss via tv news or the internet. Government today, dems or repubs, don't have a chance to announce anything first, must less investigate into it. It's just wrong!

         The father seems to be pushing an agenda he took a swing at Obama for being "emotionless" anyhow the mother of the same SEAL has a very different story and has written an enormous letter of thanks to Obama and Biden for their support and treating her son like a hero. Take your pick which story you prefer.

            Yup, she said they were nice to her, but she also expressed how disappointed she has been with the entire thing. She hasn't spoken out since the emails came out, as far as I know. The father didn't make a big fuss until that point, so who knows how she feels now?

            I realize that people like Beck, Limbaugh, and Coulter are often hard to swallow.  But then I look at all the drugged up celebrities and loud-mouth talk show hosts that advocate for the other side, and I am glad the Beck, Limbaugh, and Coulter are around.

      Just because it's on Fox or Hannity or Beck doesn't make it a joke or a lie. This guy has been talking to anyone who will listen.
      
      The problem is, he was told his son died because of a video. Then he was told, by Hillary, that it was because of the video, in person, when she knew that wasn't true.
      
      All this info comes out, and he's upset because the government lied about what happened.

         There seem to be a lot of armchair generals around who think they understand the situation, how long did it take to figure out who was responsible for (the much much bigger and committed in US soil) original 9/11?

            I have one better for you. Show a single scrap of evidence to show that this was a spontaneous protest.
            
            On the other side, we have a large group of armed terrorists, who seemed intimately familiar with who was in the compound, and where they were. We apparently had a mortar team(I always bring my mortar to a protest). We had a terrorist organization taking credit. We had 7 hours of fighting at two locations... nothing about this says 'protest'.
            
            But see, now Obama is saying "I don't want to say anything until we know everything", but he had no problem telling this father 'Your son died because of a video'.

               Actually what I said was KNOWINGLY. Now we had protests across the Muslim world about the video we had embassies in Tunis, Chenai and Sana'a attacked because of the video by angry mobs resulting in several protester deaths then apparently the group of people who attacked the embassy numbered at an estimated 140+ which made them look like a crowd or a protest given all this plus conflicting reports the Whitehouse went with the most likely case with the available information as it turns out we still don't know why the attack occurred.
               
               A group claiming responsibility on facebook does not constitute evidence and even if this group was responsible it may have been a response to the video in which case the comment was still accurate. As I said you don't know the first thing about that happened, at this point I don't think anyone except those responsible do, information will come when it comes. 
               
               How does the old line go? "They reported that the land of Israel flowed with milk and honey and no one has ever trusted military reports since" (I am translating from Spanish it's probably different in English.)

   I have no inside knowledge. For some crazy reason I crossed the med. To land and be transported to this wild place called the Congo. My job was simple; take pictures for Jimmy Carter. For those who have not been there, judgment of our actions are insincere. Then in spaces like the USSR we delivered the electronics to supply faxes and verifiable truth about the Wests' support.
   
   I suggest to my friends, think about it. I tell them, do not rush to judgment.  But for damn sure raise the Seal and His Family up and intend them well. In any situation. Dumb luck blind sides us and we die martyred for this fancy notion of Love of Country, Duty and Honor. But our family, they are perfect in their love for. I am a dead man but will always love you for your love of me.

   Mr. Wood appeared with his family on Judge Jennine's show on Fox Saturday night.  He called the loss of his son "murder" and he spoke of how disingenous both the President and Hilary were when he met with them for the casket return.  He was not bitter outwardly and did not seem to think that his son died in vain but he was heart-broken that his son had called for assistance and all help was rejected.  This is a far worse cover-up than the two-bit Watergate burglary in which the media went after Nixon like raw red meat tossed in front of hungry lions.  This situation bares the face of the real media in this country and those who simply wear the credentials who are attempting spin and cover up themselves in the name of saving Barack Hussein Obama.  They run to his rescue while he sent no one to save those four Americans.  Their death was simply politically expedient and the timing was unfortunate in Obama's mind.  That said, I have serious doubts that the situation would have been handled any differently even if it had occurred a year from now given the fact that Obama was still in the White House.  If Americans cannot find their outrage on this sad event, then there is nothing Obama can do while in office that will raise their ire or cause them to realize that this man is not what they think he is...in any shape or form. ~WB

         So sad. Men of such important office, disregard men of such noble profession. Known fact, it costs nothing more to put 5 marines in station than in training. The posting of men in such a hostile environment, alone without backup is murder by bureaucracy. Obama is guilty of homicide by negligence. A person cannot be placed in a situation of such danger without knowledge of the command. Therefor the command must recognize and compensate for the danger. In this case it was a seal alone without his squad --- Why in the hell was he without his squad????

            What I don't understand is that everyone wants to politicize this tragic event, including the father of the slain SEAL, but the father of the slain Ambassador publicly stated that it is abhorrent to politicize this.

               Events are sometimes politicized in order to change leadership so tragedies like this are prevented.

                  Sometimes orders are invalid but there is a reason we have a chain of command in the military.  Yes, it was tragic that this SEAL died in a heroic effort to save American lives, however in doing so he blew the cover of  a year long CIA investigation into the missing surface to air missiles that could ultimately cost the lives of thousands of innocents.

                     One F18 flying 60 feet off the ground with after burners blasting could have made all the difference in the world for that ambassador.   The shaking and roaring would have served notice to the attackers. 
                      
                     From the get-go this whole cover-up has been fishy. Where was the security detachment?
                     If the point of an embassy is to help and protect American citizens in foreign countries what good is it if there isn't security?
                     If they have real time technology what good did it do.   In seven hours the US could have mobilized help from any number of ships and bases through out the middle east and Europe.   A blast from a low flying F18 could have made the difference, but nobody sent one. Curious. 
                     I am just a girl who married a sailor, lived on a Navy base. Spent many years visiting friends who were career sailors and had a sailor for a son, so what do I know.

                        Obviously you don't know, according to reports the militia had anti aircraft weapon, send in a jet at that altitude and what we would have is more dead American pilots and probably a whole lot of death and destruction on the ground where the plane crashes.

                        It was a consulate not an embassy... our embassy is in Tripoli... a minor detail but one that should be noted because a consulate normally has a smaller detail since their main course of business is to handle visa requests and to foster trade as well as take care of expatriates.
                        
                        Take a look at a map of Benghazi and then tell me that there would be no collateral damage.  That no innocent civilians would have been hurt or killed.  We're talking about a sovereign nation that was just liberated from a 42 year long dictatorship.  We're talking about a country that could be a very strong geographical ally in the coming years.  You can hate all you want but the majority of Libyans are peaceful, law abiding, fearful and appreciative to the US. 
                        
                        It doesn't matter where you go in the world, there will be groups that hate the US.  You probably have some in your own town.  I'm sure I have plenty here in Chicago.  But we cannot condemn the fate of an entire nation based on small and scattered hate groups and pockets of terrorists.  We cannot go back to the Bush years and be afraid that there is a terrorist around every corner.
                        
                        I'm thankful for you husband and son's service.  I'm just an old Army medic that trained with Delta Force and come from 5 generations of soldiers, sailors, and Marines, so what do I know?

       I found it a little troubling how Obama kept saying "I killed Bin Laden,"  or "I gave the order.."   He never used the term "we" or lavished praise upon the unit that actually did the work.  He really played the political perspective.  I mean, with or without a direct order, who the hell WOULDN'T kill Bin Laden if they had him in their sights?
