Pete Williams of NBC just reported on air about the possibility of the election being postponed. Now do not wig out, he does say in his report that it is highly unlikely and he does a great job laying out the problems with doing that.. So why bring it up then ? I do not think it will happen, never has before even during the civil war. Thought anyone?

I heard that on the news. Congress has to approve it, that won't happen.
24 Hour news cycle anything that is even vaguely interesting will be covered repeatedly and many things that are not. If there is a serious hurricane then perhaps postponement might be necessary in some states, many like Virginia already have programs for that in place allowing the election be postponed up to 2 weeks. There is nothing sinister about wondering what we would do if there was a full force hurricane on election day, as a right winger you should be pleased that postponement is being considered, pretty much all experts say that bad weather would favor Obama as he has dominated the early vote and people in cities are more likely to vote in bad weather due to being closer to voting venues and Obama dominates the city vote too.
AV....Yes, I do have thoughts on the unnecessary comment from Pete Williams, NBC. I would ask the same question you did....WHY even bring it up? Well, because right about now, I guess the media feels we need MORE to think about....be concerned with....distract us...? I'm just guessing of course, but at this point, I could believe just about anything. Our heads are all so jam-packed with lies and smoke screens and inaccurate reporting...fabricated numbers. You name it. I'll be happy if my head stops spinning before Tuesday. What bothers me most is that it's too close for comfort.
I agree, the media has no shame, as if there is any reason to sensationalize, this storm has cost lives, millions without power, flooding, likely to be the most costly storm in American history, but leave it to the media to somehow add fear and foreboding about the election to an already tragic situatin..Even Gov. Chritstie, came out and thanked the POTUS for his quick action...If he can lay his political agenda aside for the greater good of Americans, you would think the media could follow suit, maybe spend their day finding stories of bravery, of Americans coming together to help one another in spite of the upcoming election.
Tammy,
Thank you for being a voice of reason.his appears to be a horrible storm what little I have been able to see about it. FDNY is on full alert and duty. Some of the stories I have read and heard from friends in the department remind me of several bad storms that happened during my years like Gloria. Seems this one is worse and that saddens me. I remember how bad Gloria was and how destructive.
This is the time when the media should shine, getting out the news as to the needs of the people. Water, food, temporary shelter and much more will be needed very quickly in these areas, some with more need than others. That is where the media can help the most, help get the word out so volunteers no where to go first to help the most people as possible with the most urgent needs.
People like Josak name calling me, inaccurately by the way since I am independent, show their true colors and agenda. Honor always rises to the top in situations like these, and those without it get revealed real quick too.
Sorry but calling you a right winger is not an insult or a "name call" it's a simple fact of political positioning, I didn't call you a Republican because i know you consider yourself an independent but you are right wing. No insult intended.
Sorry Dude, name calling is an insult. I do like the way you tried to spin it, typical.
Typical? No typical is not responding to the actual points made then having a little cry about a presumed insult and then acting like a child after getting an undeserved apology.
Test yourself on any political spectrum test or just ask around and people will inform you that you are right of center therefore you are right wing if you don't like the truth then too bad but the truth is not an insult.
Christ.

Here once again Biden stands at a podium swings around his hands, and rants, seeking and appoint blame on American citizens, ultimately Republican citizens. Without cause, without proof of the motive of why or what possessed this nut job that attacked Paul Pelosi. Although in front of only a...

Are you in the path of Hurricane Sandy and that Superstorm cold front? If so, what precautions are you taking, if any? Will you stay in your home or go somewhere perhaps safer? Do you think it will, after all this political brouhaha, disrupt the election?

Is it time to consider a coalition government? It is my opinion that neither party, Democrat or Republican, can win a national election with just their base. Both parties need some part of the Independent or undecided vote to gain an election victory. The far Left seems to think that only they know...
