All polls show Obama badly beating Romney in Mass. Why?

Massachusetts is Romney's home state.  Usually people want their home town guy to win, but that isn't happening in Mass.  Could this be because the people of Massachusetts have had a bad experience with Romney?  I haven't seen anybody mention this phenomenon elsewhere, so thought I'd throw it out there for discussion.  Comments?

I voted for Obama in 08, so I'm speaking honestly here.  Massachusetts is a State which has long been a stronghold of the Democratic Party.  When he ran as Governor, he was able to finesse  his way in.  In this election, I would say he never had a chance.  I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't spent a thin dime on his home State.  This has happened countless times over the years to candidates on both sides.  It is a non issue.

Didn't realize Mass was so heavily Dem.  I have read a few comments here and there from Mass. residents who have said Romney was a horrible Gov who did none of the things he bragged about.  Was just wondering if this was the case or maybe it was something else.  Usually people want their guy to win because it's very good financially for their state...so this issue (or non issue) struck me as a bit strange.  Thanks for the info.

Al Gore did not win Tennessee in 2000.  He lost by 3.87% to Bush.

It's a combination of factors #1 It's a Blue state #2 Romney left very very unpopular. Whether it's because he was a bad governor or just because Mass residents didn't like his policies is up for debate.

I think most of the people in the country are tired of the hoopla and are ready for it all to end.  In all my years, I have never seen any election quite like this one, and I hope it never happens again!

Romney cast himself as a combination fiscal conservative and social liberal. Melded the two with the Affordable Care Act in Massachusetts. Notice I didn't call it Romneycare. It was supported and advocated for much more by Ted Kennedy and the long-time liberals in this state. Now he's playing to ultra-conservatives. That just doesn't work in a liberal state. Even if people like Romney, there is no way they want Paul Ryan that close to the presidency. The Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown never even mentions he's a Republican. He keeps referring to himself as a bi-partisan independent Senator.
