I used to get brother and boyfriend mixed up. Not their meanings, obviously, but just in speech. Mushroom and marshmallow as well, which was interesting when I was a barista asking customers if they wanted mushrooms on their hot chocolate
I sometimes have problems with the words...observe and absorb when I need to speak them out loud or is that aloud?

Do idled hubs affect traffic to your other hubs? I need a precise answer from someone who knows.Let me elaborate. Does Google hold back sending traffic your way if you have idled hubs? If not, why is it that when you remove an idled hub your traffic goes up a little. These are genuine questions...

Which is correct, "the affects of" or "the effects of"?My teachers have always taught me "the effects of" but I can see other writers write "the affects of". I'm a non-English speaker so this thing gets me confused.

What's the best way to know when to use the word "effect" vs "affect" in writing? This one has always given me trouble; when is it a noun, when is it a verb, and can both words be used as noun and verb?
