Can you help? this is the message that i keep getting even when i have a few hubs. i now have 8 hubs of what i thought was substancial. How can i get approved?

Insufficient content: To be considered for AdSense, your site must contain
enough text content for our specialists to review and for our crawlers to
identify relevant ads to show on your pages. We recommend including more
complete sentences and paragraphs on your site. We require websites to be
fully launched and functioning, allowing users to navigate throughout your
site with a menu, sitemap, or appropriate links. Once the majority of your
site is complete and functional, we'll be happy to reconsider your
    application.

That's a strange message. With the issues we've all had lately, I wonder if there's some technical problem? I do know it took 3 months and about 12 hubs for my AdSense account to finally be approved. Your hubs look great! Keep up the good work and don't let this discourage you. Maybe another Hubber who is more versed on Google might be able to offer better insight.

thanks vespawoolf seems many have had different problems with adsense and a variety of waiting times to get approved. guess we need to be patient.

don't be discouraged, google's approval policy may not always be the same and some of the feedback may be machine generated remarks too! You will get it sooner or later.

through my experience, google likes at least 600 words per hub in order for it to be considered text-rich.  Since your hubs look mostly like recipes, they are short on text content.  Try writing a review or something more substantial textually.  I had to wait until I had 20 hubs until my account was approved.  Don't get discouraged.

ok that sounds a great idea. i will try that to see if it works. it seems like adsense have so many requirements it could be one or the other or a combo. true my hubs are mainly recipes. i never knew the 600 word per hub requirement. were your 20 hubs under 600 words or did you increase written content?

all of my hubs are over 600 words, except for one drink recipe.  I was denied for a different reason, because I didn't meet their "criteria" with no specifics.  I just kept trying, and finally it was approved.

Normally, people forget to fill in summary part [ look to your right, the grey box ]. Make this mandatory so that you're hub will be listed based on the keywords used. Also, this gives a finish to your hub, and will be marked as featured. Undoubtedly, the content has to be sufficient, say 500 words approx (not a benchmark). Another significant factor is, addressing the monitor or message that appears after editing and before submitting. Hope, these might help.

I only write recipes, so that won't be a problem. After you've written the hub, check hub "stats" and you'll see how many words your hub comes up to. I'm sure you're latest on pasteurizing milk is at least 600 words.

thanks vespawoolf, so would you think the problem is that we haven't been on hubs for 6 months yet. it looks like some who live outside the USA seem to have to wait longer than others.

Yes, that's what they told me when I was rejected several times. Since we're in Peru, it does take a little longer but I would keep applying. I don't think it will take 6 months. I just checked...your pasteurization hub is over 800 words and your bakery review is well over 1500 words. You might go back to your older hubs and make sure they're over 600 words, too. But I wouldn't write out of your niche. Then you have problems with linking hubs. Keep to food, restaurants, kitchen tools, etc. and don't get discouraged! It always takes a while to get established and start receiving traffic, anyway, so the delay with AdSense isn't as much of a set back as it feels right now. Most Hubbers don't start earning any money until after 6 months. Hubs take that long to "mature" and start showing up on the search engines.
