I had one hub that was doing extremely well for views and then suddenly it seemed to be getting less and less traffic by the day. I decided to check if it had been copied and guess what, it had, word for word!
The site that it was copied on is called 'Digital academy the film school wordpress', and I am betting that other hubbers have been targeted too.
If you have been someone who has also experienced a drastic loss of traffic I'm guessing this maybe the problem. Just thought I woud let the community know.
Which hub got copied? I tried to find your hub but I am not sure if I am on the right site or not. Is your copied article out ranking your article in search. Give us more info so the community can help you.
Hey tamron, it is my hub on acting techniques and although they did a bit of article spinning (not much though only the title, the opening section and a few sentances) however the vast majority of it is my work. I left a comment and sent them a message letting them know, that I know and asking them to remove or change the content thats been copied, so hopefully the issue will be dealt with swiftly.
Thanks for your concern, I just wanted to inform others that this might be why they have experienced traffic loss also.
Thanks for posting this because chances are if they copied your article they more than likely copied other hubs.
I forgot to tell you use "Google alerts" to catch people coping your content. I usually copy and paste 4 random sentences in my article or pick sentences I think they might copy!
It does work. I wrote a hub about checking on your hubs for plagiarism, Check out this article, http://hub.me/acbnI
It explains catching the copying and it runs automatically through google alerts. Hope this helps.

Hi all,I've been using Google Alerts to find and report duplicated hubs without having to spend hours doing a monthly search for them. Here's what you do. Go to Google Alerts, add an alert and copy and paste the headline in "" into the alert, eg., "Headline". Then select - How...

I filed a DMCA report for a page that copied my hub. The hub existed as a lens since 12/12/10.The content is obviously and clearly copied and even mentions that it was taken from Squidoo at the top. Yet Google rejected the URL for removal.I hope it is OK to list the URLs here so people trying to...

My articles are ALL over the web. Some of them have 10-20 dupes.I suppose I should feel complimented!Meanwhile...

I have had about 5 of my hubs stolen. They have been shamelessly republished on over 5 sites (some hubs were stolen by more than one). They look to be low quality sites, so I don't think that they are making a lot of money off of my work. I am not sure if it is worthwhile to file DMCA complaints....

I can't stop grinning. After two years on HubPages, one of my articles has been deemed worthy of being copied verbatim on another website. It's like being told I did such a great job on it that somebody wanted to copy it! Hahahahaha! Of course, I kindly asked the copycat...
