Micheal Moore is , of course, happy that Reagan voters are dying.
Yes this is just another one of those people who spout this kind of sick hatred daily but will be given a pardon because he is leftist and I will be told he was just kidding.

      From the article, Moore's clarification...

"Don’t get me wrong. But, I’m just saying that the previous generations, which were willing to live under segregation, were willing to live with women making a third less than men, were willing to live with all this stuff. They wanted gays in the closet. Their way is over.”

I don't care WHAT he clarified he is happy people died who did him no wrong.

That is entirely false, Moore never stated in the article he was happy people died. Did you actually even read the article?

"“If you were 55 or 60 years old in 1980 when Reagan ran, you’re dead now,” said Moore. “They’re not alive. They left. And when they left, you know, things got better.”

eh, one could argue he did.

Gotta love his idea of "better" though. Weren't we adding jobs and beginning 25 years of prosperity under Reagan? Today is certainly not my idea of "better". lol

Only if you didn't read or ignored his clarification, which I posted above.

                I read. it.
You are doing exactly what I said you would do. No Conservative could say anything even remotely like that no matter what the clarification without it being eternally pinned to him.

So what? It is YOU who are putting words in Moore's mouth stating things he never said.

I'm beginning to wonder if YOU read it. Right after the quote it says, "Sensing perhaps a verbal misstep, Moore clarified his comments."  Meaning, he realized what he said and thought he better backtrack a bit.  As I said, one could argue he did indeed say exactly what he meant the FIRST time he said it, rather than when he decided he'd stepped in it, so he "clarified" it.

                  It's what they want.
They will be very happy in about 40 years when plainly all baby boomer conservatives will be gone and they can finish their erasure of the past and frame it to suit their needs.

And NO I don't have any data. You certainly don't need any to see what's happening.

I did read it, and nowhere in the article does it support the accusations against Moore.

I thought things only got better with Coke?
He said what he said and then tried to back pedal.
He is a hideous human being who preys on others and uses the capitalism he claims to work against to get fatter and fatter.

Did you even see what the hell I commented to? I commented on the comment about our economic situation, and mentioned that he was talking about our social situation.

I don't see what the big deal is? Those of the Reagan era that were up in age were more conservative most probably GOP, the inevitable process of death naturally eliminated this group. Of course, a more progressive population replacing them is desirable for me on the left and from Moore's perspective.

Moore is just reminding the rightwinger that the demographics are changing veering left, but over the last few years that has been no surprise to anyone, right?
