Someone has just followed me that I do not want to follow me. I reported them for overly promotional.
He signed up  for Hubpages 2 weeks ago, has published no hubs, and his profile is advertising for his business in another country. In the mean time he has "followed" over 187 hubbers. I do not wish to have him as a follower. Is there a way to get unfollowed?
    This is his profile page:

I don't know but I would like to know the same thing!  I searched the forums for an answer but hadn't thought about asking. Thanks for posting.

Nope.  You don't have any say over who chooses to be your fan.  Sort of like the rest of reality.

There is no way to control who follows you. It's not really an issue as it wont effect you in any way. I wouldn't be concerned with this.

Go to profile and in the right upper hand corner is Report. Click on report and report him for spam.

    HI Lambservant, Lori right

Anyway yes just block him or report him, if it continues he obviously needs to be reported.

However there are many people now that actually care about stuff like this, you can find them all over the net if you do research extensively. You can find the genuine ones as opposed to the fake ones.

There is so much fraud on the net you have to be careful.

I would say call the cops but they do nothing, from what is going on with corrupt cops (hence the robert leona case) they are the ones that we need protection from it seems.

nevertheless if you need help I will help.

Sometimes just blocking this person helps and its a start
    Good Luck

Is there a way to block a follower? I didn't think there was.

I just checked my follower list and underneath each follower profile is an "unfollow" link. Perhaps you could try that and unfollow the fellow. Best regards--Deb

That link is only to control whether or not you are following them.

Okay, thanks for the correction. I wasn't sure, since I don't usually use that tab.--Deb

You don't generally get to control who other people follow.  That is kind of their business and no reflection on you.

I think I have the same follower. It doesn't bother me, though. All types of people in this world and life would be boring if everyone was the same...

True.  Besides, having a follower that is involved in possibly dubious things doesn't affect your reputation at all.  I have one follower that is following over 10,000 people and has a hubscore of 1.  It doesn't bother me at all as that is one more potential viewer.
