Since I begun publishing on Hubpages, all my hubs have always been featured something which I liked but the two hubs and linked below never got past the QAP Why?

Gee, my usual mating call is "Buy me a bottle of wine"

I guess I've been doing it wrong roll

If it is working for now, then you should continue with the current mating call.  If not, however, some changes might need to be made.  Perhaps some more content - the type, color or brand of wine might be beneficial.  Maybe a photo or two you could present to suitors or visitors, but do make sure that such pictures aren't stolen.  Maybe a chart of wines along with pricing and availability and a map of where to find them.

It is always possible that simple evolution has changed the world around you.  Goog...ah...the world is changing and demanding new and different rules in order to get suitors.  You must follow those rules to receive visitors into your domain, or to get what you want from them.

Judging by the amount of feet patterning around the house, what I'm doing is pretty effective.

I think the penalization is from having traffic from the wrong sources.

This is possible.  Your original call needs to include a good summary of what you are offering in return.  A glass of wine?  Conversation?  Something else?

Be specific, and be careful where you advertise your call as well.  Some locations can produce undesirable suitors and excessive advertising makes it look like you are something you are not.

Fortunately, I have received a contract from one "clicker". The CPC is excessively low, however I do see regular traffic.

Unfortunately, the QAP scores are nothing to crow about.

Still, regular pinning circumvents the need to get traffic through Search Engines... And I don't ever have to worry about sharing it again.

                    If:
                    1) the score is high enough to be accepted
                    2) your have clickers
                    3) you have regular traffic

Then you're good to go.  Some minor tweaking might improve what you see, and might be worthy of your time, but there is probably no reason to make major changes.

Dear Melissa, thanx for the link, I had some issues publishing my first hub one of them was if I'm not mistaken, no google adsense account, adsense turned me down because I've never published a hub. Ill go and look at the criteria maybe I can still save it. Thanx

Neither Hub was Featured because neither Hub had a sufficiently high quality rating. The post MelissaBarrett links to above offers some tips on criteria to shoot for should you like to revise your Hubs and try to pass over the hurdle. big_smile

I like your hubs . They are very professional . I have more than 3/4 of my hubs featured but some I think are personally better don't pass the muster. I am going back at some point to revamp the old ones. Sometimes they get more hits than the ones that are quality.

And this http://sharingknowledge.hubpages.com/hu … out-Cement why? What is the hidden way to have a Hub featured easily? I have tried all but cant really understand.

Here are the problems I see with the hub and why it doesn't pass QAP.

The hub text is short.  The ebay links don't go with the text.  It is not broken up into sub-sections.  Needs a clearer title to explain what it is.  Picture is not sourced and doesn't explain what you are looking at.  There are grammar errors, misuse of words and repetitiveness.

There is not a trick.  You have to write good quality content with correct grammar.  Make the title searchable and easy and make the hub truly informative.  The Learning Center  is your best bet for learning how to write better hubs.

The quality assessment process new hubs go through before being featured (or not featured)

  3. paradigmsearch profile image60

Yep, all new hubs go in the QAP'er now. But only some crawl back out.

Sorry, couldn't pass that one up. big_smile

I would suggest looking at your language use and grammar.  It isn't terrible but there are more than the permitted "infrequent" mistakes in areas such as capitalization and noun/verb agreement.

noun and verbs, why can't they all just get along?

Just in case you haven't seen this, Beth37, the QAP = the Quality Assessment Process which determines which Hubs get Featured. More can be found here: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Featured-Hubs big_smile
