After reading about the Ads appearing on the right sidebar of our hubs, I checked it out and found the long Ad on my pages. When I signed out, I really saw a bunch of Ads all over the top section of the hubs. WOW! Is there a hub here or an Advertisement page?...was my first thought.

The "related search" on the right sidebar is Not a Related search...it is a page of Advertisements listed.

The sidebar Ad really doesn't look bad to me. Do we get our share of this Ad also?

Yes, that is what many of us have been complaining about for a while now.

I thought the related search was to take the reader to Hub topics pages.

Income from the "Related Search" Ads is not shared with the authors

What about the new skyscraper ADs? I hope these are a spit-share.

It continues to annoy.  but I assume the skyscraper is a normal split share ad.

I hope the skyscraper AD is a split share. The related search "ad" needs to be changed to "related ADS," not related search.

I mentioned this when we all lost so much traffic from Google Panda. I wonder what Google thinks of this. If I ran into a page like that I'd look for info elsewhere.

I remember HP saying that the old layout had to be changed partly because too many ADs were bad for Google. I guess that has changed!?!?!?

At the same time...you visit any huge website that gets top rankings all the time and you see the ADs all over the page!

Exactly.  I dislike ad heavy pages, but on the other hand, I want to earn.  I worry about what Google thinks, but some of my hubs are now outranked by wiki answers.  If you go to their pages, All you see initially are ads.........also the content is often almost non-existent, and yet Google seems to like em.

My thoughts are that as long as there are no pop up ads etc. Google isn't too upset, but I guess we never know.
